Love this food
This canidae food (duck and sweet potato) is wonderful. Our dogs suffer from intestinal distress and this food calms things down right away. And they love the taste. I highly recommend this for both picky eaters and pups with digestive challenges.
Not a true limited ingredient
I'm moving out of the country and they don't carry his regular food, American Journey LID duck and sweet potato, so I found that this brand is carried there and is a LID, duck and sp, but look at the ingredients there is chicken and turkey too!!! I've been doing the slow wean and adding this in. We got to 1/4 point last night and he woke up sick this morning!!!
New food
My mom bought me and Honeybelle this new food! We love it and gobble it down. However, mom says it’s a little too $$$, so back to chicken for us!
My dog loves it, wish it came in resealable bag
Love this food, saw it being recommended by a dog nutritionist if one must use kibble and not fresh or raw and decided to give it a try since my dog is super picky (have tried multiple kibble , raw and fresh) and he loves it. Only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t come in a resealable bag.
Not for sensitive stomachs
My dog has food sensitivities and seasonal allergies. Tried Canidae when his food went temporarily out of stock - ingredients seemed very similar to what he regularly eats. He loved the flavor, so that was ok. Next morning his eyes were running, stool very soft, and his skin very itchy. Thought it may be the drastic change of food (we had only 2 days for transition) or the environment, but after a couple of weeks I finally got him some limited-ingredient brand at the store, and all the symptoms stopped immediately. He usually reacts badly to any food with chicken meal products, so careful if you're considering this brand because of the "pure" ingredients.
Great limited ingredient food
My dog is not only picky but has had a sensitive stomach to some dog food in the past. I love that this brand has limited ingredients, but also great vitamins, minerals and probiotics for my dog.
Pei stomach
Shar pei is allergic to chicken and beef. This food works much better
This food solved our sensitive-stomach problems!
We have four dogs, including a newfoundland dog with a particularly sensitive stomach. This food brought an end to his stomach problems. The dogs love the taste, they enjoy the small kibble, and the formula is very digestible. We have been experimenting hit-or-miss with different kibble, and this one is truly a hit! Highly highly recommended.
Wrong nutrition info
Chewy says it contains 520cals/cup but when I received product the calories stated in bag are only 460.
