Can and should this be rehydrated? Most other dehydrated dog food recommends adding water?

Rehydration is not necessary, but it is recommended if your dog or cat does not tend to drink enough water on its own. Rehydrated food can be kept for a few hours at room temperature, and 24 hours in the refrigerator. Always keep a bowl of fresh water available to your pet.

My dogs love this

My dogs insist on "having a taste" before I give them their bowl. I think they prefer it dry. It is the healthiest option I have found at this price point.

They think it’s tasty but very crunchy

I feed raw but like to use dehydrated food as back up and for travel. I have two large and two small dogs. They seem to like the bites as opposed to the mush in

I feed raw but like to use dehydrated food as back up and for travel. I have two large and two small dogs. They seem to like the bites as opposed to the mush in general. Of the two kinds of food I traveled with, this is the only one they liked, but the pieces are killer crunchy. They do break down after more than an hour of soaking, but then turn to mush. The bites are large and hard for even my Bernese Mountain Dogs, but you should have seen my 12 pound Cavalier trying to crunch them down! She wanted to eat it, but I worried about her getting enough with all that time and effort. I don’t think she had it in her to stay with it long enough! We used it up, but I probably won’t buy it again.

I was hesitant on spending the money for this, and then face the problem that my dog would not like it. He’s never had fish and can be a picky eater. Fears are gone, as he absolutely devours this! As a Cavalier King Charles, he is prone to be overweight. I wanted to try a raw diet, but didn’t like worrying about storage. This is perfect! I mix in Orijen kibble to allow him some vitamins and minerals he needs from veggies. It does have a strong fish odor, but what would you expect when it’s made completely from fish? Very satisfied with my purchase.
