These collars are durable and stand up to my dogs rolling in the yard. I've been using them for years. I've only replaced them from time to time because the orange eventually fades. One of my dogs has an allergy to polyester so he can't wear many brands. This collar is made of nylon and does not cause any irritation for my three pups. Great collar for a great price. Carhartt goes along way for me and the pups. Thanks Chewy for carrying these .

Loved the color, hated the quality

I have a 90 pound akita hound mix. I got this collar for him because the orange color would make him more visible. I loved the look of this collar on him. I figured since it was carhartt brand that it would be good quality, but his collar snapped. He was outside on his long line and went to pull and the buckle snapped and he got out of the yard. It would have been fine if the buckle was all metal, but it is plastic and the plastic part snapped. I do not recommend this collar as it can easily break at the plastic piece. I will be returning it and getting a different kind.

Good collar

We bought this to use on forest walks during hunting season when it's still too warm for a hi-vis vest. Color is way more vibrant in person which is good for what

We bought this to use on forest walks during hunting season when it's still too warm for a hi-vis vest. Color is way more vibrant in person which is good for what we need it for! Our pup is right on the cusp of each size so I was worried the large would be too loose but took the leap anyways. She measures 18 inch neck but even the large can tighten to probably 17 maaaybe 16 inches. We're pretty satisfied, the only discretion is the metal buckle has a little bit of a rough edge on the inside where it will sit against the neck but a few swipes of sandpaper will take it off. Couldn't pass up on a Carhartt collar when it was on sale cheaper than the others we looked at!

Collar created sores on neck area

2 of my 3 dogs have carhartt collars, will not be continuing with this brand. 1 loosens continuously and has to be tightened daily, the other has created 3 small

2 of my 3 dogs have carhartt collars, will not be continuing with this brand. 1 loosens continuously and has to be tightened daily, the other has created 3 small sores on my Boston’s neck. The collar wasn’t to tight, wet, etc. I believe it is a reaction to the metal part of the clasp. I will be sticking to plastic clips moving forward, after sometime in a harass to allow healing of the site. I don’t recommend, the reviews I checked confirm I am not the only one to experience this.

Could be unhealthy. No hard proof but I regret buying the collar.

I regret buying it. My dog wore it for 2 weeks, got sick. He ended up with liver failure, and died after an expensive and tough treatment. He was always healthy

I regret buying it. My dog wore it for 2 weeks, got sick. He ended up with liver failure, and died after an expensive and tough treatment. He was always healthy and only 5 years old. Vet narrowed cause of liver failure. The collar we ordered was made in China. I believe it may have been treated with some chemicals that were toxic to my dog.

Recommend sizing up…

According to the sizing chart the medium collar should’ve fit my blue heeler and on the biggest setting it does, but the narrowness of the collar isn’t proportionate

According to the sizing chart the medium collar should’ve fit my blue heeler and on the biggest setting it does, but the narrowness of the collar isn’t proportionate to my heeler’s neck and looks awkward. The medium collar absolutely fits my golden cavapoo though in the smallest setting, but the medium harness is too big so it’s been hard to gauge. Great quality on the materials and construction though!!
