if rinsed can I use this safely in my fresh water tank?

Aragalive will increase pH and alkalinity and should only be used in marine, reef, or African Cichlid aquariums. If you are using in an African cichlid tank, pour out the liquid first.

Can this be used in a brackish water aquarium?

Every single bag I got has been expired! I had 8 bags originally. A few were busted and all were expired 2 years ago. The rest of the replacement bags (26 bags in total) were the same - expired 2 years ago and/or busted upon arrival. If you get this product, please check the expiration date as my issue with this was not resolved and I was unable to actually use the product to leave a more useful review.

This SAND needs to be relabled

I have 4 tank that have 4 Betta fish in them, when you read the description of this sand it sounds wonderful and organic like what you would buy at the pet store

I have 4 tank that have 4 Betta fish in them, when you read the description of this sand it sounds wonderful and organic like what you would buy at the pet store that I use to plant my aquarium plants. I have 40 new aquarium plants coming in and I have a bag of gravel first of all. Second of all its for SALT WATER. That should be clearly stated in the description, not hidden! I am extremely disappointed in chewing!!!!!! I usually brag about your products and customers service to everyone. Now I am stuck with a bag of salt rocks I can't use.

This should be relabled "Reef" sand. Saltwater only

The product I'm sure is fine, but the description doesn't make clear this is for saltwater use only. I didn't see that in the description and ended up buying and

The product I'm sure is fine, but the description doesn't make clear this is for saltwater use only. I didn't see that in the description and ended up buying and returning 130 lbs of sand. So ONLY get it for saltwater. The review is purely for the unclear description, not the quality of the product. Saltwater ONLY (or freshwater for an Mbuna tank with super high PH I suppose) is an important detail that needs to be highlighted, not hidden, as Chewy.com currently does.

This is gravel, not sand.

They shouldn’t be allowed to call this sand. It’s not sand by any stretch of the imagination. That being said it does have a nice black color to it and it does keep

50:50 black and white sand

Was a little disappointed when I received my package and the sand was not full black or even mostly black. Its 50:50 black and white.
