Needs serious rinsing

I had bought this sand years ago and believe it used to be shipped in water. My latest order just received was dry and I can’t believe how much rinsing is required

I had bought this sand years ago and believe it used to be shipped in water. My latest order just received was dry and I can’t believe how much rinsing is required. I’m on 7th rinse of the first of five 40lb bags and the effluent still looks like mud. I’m tempted to return the other 4 bags as it’s going to require hundreds of gallons of water to get 200lbs aquarium ready.

Make sure you pre-wash!

Nice, ocean-looking sand for my shrimp. Soft and no foreign particles. It takes like 15 rinses to clear up the golden yellow color though. 5lb bag minimally covers

Unfortunately this sand is way too fine and easily clouds when disturbed. I spent a long time cleaning it before using and it never seemed to get clean. I decided

Unfortunately this sand is way too fine and easily clouds when disturbed. I spent a long time cleaning it before using and it never seemed to get clean. I decided to use it and let it settle, but it would cloud the water again if disturbed. It is beautiful, but not worth the extreme care required so I decided to remove it. I definitely suggest you look for another sand like crystal river and save yourself the extra work.
