Is this fine enough for corydoras catfish to sift through?

Super Naturals contains small, smooth grains that are fish friendly and are perfect for rays and other bottom dwelling or sand sifting fish and invertebrates.

The description says the sand is packed with good bacteria, clarifier, and water conditioner. Does this mean I don’t have to rinse it before use?

The manufacturers of this substrate recommend rinsing the sand before adding it to your aquarium.

How many bags would I need for a 30 gallon tank?

It's suggested to use 1-2 pounds per gallon so you'll need about 2-3 bags, depending on the substrate depth wanted, for your 30 gallon tank.

Is this okay for goldfish? I know they can sometimes ingest the sand.

This sand is suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums with proper maintenance. It's safe for goldfish.

Beautiful sand!

Sand makes the tank look great and love the color. Just have to rinse it really well. And once I got it in my new setup, I did a water change down to the sand

This sand is beautiful with a caviat

Ok I read all of the reviews and didn't use it. Seen the cichlid bros use it alot. Decided to try in my 55 gallon I'm setting up. Washed it and used. Water was cloudy

Ok I read all of the reviews and didn't use it. Seen the cichlid bros use it alot. Decided to try in my 55 gallon I'm setting up. Washed it and used. Water was cloudy for a week with no end in sight. Took out and rewashed this sand until the bucket was clear and washes it 4 more times. End result is the picture. Just ordered enough to resand my 80 and and my new 135. Hands down the prettiest sand you'll ever use. But it's also dirty and needs alot of washing. Worth it though.

Love caribsea sand love their gravel too but sand is cleaner plus when cleaning tank just swirl your finger the sand around to keep it circulating do easy

My Corys & I love it!

This was my first time using sand substrate and I'm so happy I chose Caribsea. I chose this brand because it is pH neutral, comes with a clarifier, and had good

This was my first time using sand substrate and I'm so happy I chose Caribsea. I chose this brand because it is pH neutral, comes with a clarifier, and had good reviews for the most part. The 20-lb bag was more than enough for my 20g long aquarium. I rinsed it 1/3 at a time in a bucket with the backyard hose and it took about 10 rinses for each batch to get it clean (not nearly as bad as other reviews make it sound- I spent maybe 1 hr total cleaning it). I added it to my existing aquarium by slowly lowering cups of it into the water after removing about 4/5 of the water from my tank (kept in buckets)-- fish were also in a separate bucket during this process. It made my water just slightly cloudy but cleared up within a couple hours and was normal by the next morning. My 6 panda Corys are extremely happy and playful in the sand - it is so cute to watch them and I know I did the right thing by replacing the gravel with sand. Also, my aquarium looks so much more beautiful and natural.
