The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reviewed detailed documentation and concluded that Caru Natural Stews for Dogs are made with 100% human grade ingredients. The FDA further concurred that these recipes are processed and handled in accordance with FDA regulations for human food. When fed as a complete meal, use 1 pack daily for every 12 lbs. body weight. If feeding with typical dry dog food reduce dry by 2/3 cup for every 1 pack of Caru. Adjust the amount of food fed to meet your dog’s individual needs.

Amazing brand, ingredients and company

My two bichons have loved Caru dog food since they were puppies. They’re 9 now. Real human grade ingredients. I have to note - they recently changed the formula

My two bichons have loved Caru dog food since they were puppies. They’re 9 now. Real human grade ingredients. I have to note - they recently changed the formula which is why I’m writing this review. I actually spoke with the owner of the company who was very responsive when I reached out regarding my pups having an upset stomach recently and the food looking different. He explained that they did change the recipe recently adding more beneficial ingredients. I slowly transitioned them (since we didn’t have the old recipe food anymore, just the new) using boiled chicken, brown rice and green beans with a little bit of the new recipe. Working our way up slowly over the course of 2 weeks. Both of my dogs have now transitioned fully to this new recipe and we are so thankful since the ingredients are clean and they have always loved it. Hoping this helps and encourages others to choose this brand for their own fur baby.

Our little girl just loves this food!

We have a very picky eater and things have to be just right for her to eat her food, even wet food. We gave her this chicken stew and she took right in eating

Yum yum yum

I have a 12lb Yorkie who is prone to pancreatitis and I need to feed her very low fat foods. This has real whole food ingredients without fillers or by-products

I have a 12lb Yorkie who is prone to pancreatitis and I need to feed her very low fat foods. This has real whole food ingredients without fillers or by-products as many of the Rx foods do. My Apple starts getting excited when I take the box out and start shaking it priorto feeding. I only wish it was a bit less expensive because it goes quickly.

I feed my pups dry food and supplement it with boxed food, chicken, salmon, and various vegetables. I am always looking for a good food wet food that when I am a hurry I can reach for instead of cooking for them. This one so far seems to fit the bill. It smells great, the Goldens really like it. No problems. Ingredients seem very good.

Human grade dog food better than most

My owner bought this human grade food for me because I am a very picky 13-yr-old poodle mix and I didn't like any of the expensive canned or dry foods that she tried

My owner bought this human grade food for me because I am a very picky 13-yr-old poodle mix and I didn't like any of the expensive canned or dry foods that she tried. She become so desperate to find something I would like that for awhile she made food for me using chicken breasts, rice, and spinach--which was so good she sometimes ate some herself. Then she saw Caru stew and bought me some. It's not as good has her home made meals but I do like it a lot. It's the best thing she's found on Chewy so far.
