Frequently Asked Questions

DO DOGS NEED DOG BEDS?

Let’s be honest—your dog could probably fall asleep pretty much anywhere. But just because he can doesn’t mean he should. Dogs can sleep up to 20 hours a day, and their joints and muscles can suffer if they don’t get proper support. Casper’s dog bed uses pressure-relieving memory foam to provide just the right support.

WHAT ARE THE BEST DOG BEDS?

The ones that offer true support! Dog beds made with thin, easily worn stuffing aren’t much better than letting your dog sleep on the floor. Casper’s dog bed is designed with two-layer foam construction, combining pressure-relieving foam and support foam for all-night comfort.

WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A DOG BED?

Here are some key elements to look for when choosing a dog bed:

SOFT, SCRATCH-RESISTANT FABRIC

COMFORTABLE SUPPORT

FORTIFIED CONSTRUCTION

EASY CARE

A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR DOG

Casper’s memory foam dog bed has a removable, machine washable cover and soft and durable fabric to stand up to scratching and lots of use. It offers a soft, yet supportive foam structure and resists losing its shape like regular stuffed dog beds sometimes do.

Casper even includes a helpful guide on how to wash your dog bed, along with tips on prepping your cover before you toss it in the washing machine.

About Casper

They have spent years studying the magic and science of sleep, and they have concluded that great sleep changes everything. Sleep makes us all friendlier, faster, smarter and yes, warmer and fuzzier! The bolster sides aren’t very high so my senior dog can get in and out well but does still have a bit of a pillow. I struggled with size for my 65 lb girl who is on the small side of the breed. She curls up a lot when she sleeps so it works fine but if I had the space I’d have gotten the next size up. It is very supportive on her arthritic joints.

Well constructed, sturdy bed

My puppy loves her new bed! Since she is still in her chewing phase, this bed is strong and durable and she has stopped trying to chew it apart

Iffy Product

For the price, I don’t think the product is worth it. The memory foam feels cheap. It doesn’t even feel like memory foam to me. It was not what I was expecting

For the price, I don’t think the product is worth it. The memory foam feels cheap. It doesn’t even feel like memory foam to me. It was not what I was expecting. The case also shows every little dirt mark. I do not recommend for someone with a dog who drools. I wish the top layer of the case was the same material as the sides to help reduce the amount of noticeable drool marks.

Very sturdy

This said it was “scratch proof” they were not kidding, my puppy gets in every night and scratches like crazy, no wear yet. Really nice looking as well.

Nova loves her bed!

We had a Casper bed for Nova for 4 years and she loves it. She prefers to sleep there each night over the couch or even our bed. It’s perfect for when she curls up in a ball and when she sprawls out! We got this one because she also licks a lot and we didn’t wash the covering/let the foam air out and the foam got moldy. Not great, but worth buying a new one!

Expensive

Expensive for what it is, but well made. Dog doesn’t like it, but that’s not the fault of the bed, he just prefers to be on the couch next to me

Great firm memory foam bed

This is a high quality bed that is easy to take apart and wash. Paisley tries to nest in it and snuggle into it - this is not that kind of bed. We’re hoping that

Perfect Dog Bed

Our older, very arthritic boy is spending more time laying down these days, and his large size has made it difficult to find a dog bed that provides enough support. The Casper dog bed is fantastic and he loves laying on it. Despite his specific positioning on the bed, the structure and support remains. It also looks really nice, and we don’t mind having it out in our main living space at all times. Will be recommending this dog bed to others!

They advertise the durability of the fabric, and the fabric is still intact. The weak point ended up being the zipper. After 3 months our 6 month old 45 lb Olde English Bulldogge puppy ripped the zipper seam apart and started tearing apart the foam. The zipper didn't work anymore so we had to throw the whole thing away. We replaced this with another one of these beds (that we bought for another room the puppy isn't allowed in yet). Within 1 day the same thing happened. I've just ordered a chew proof Bully Bed that uses a strong vecro instead of a zipper. At least if he gets to the innards of that one we can just replace the foam pad inside,
