How long would this feeder last if it was programmed for normal 3x a day with it being filled to the highest capacity? We're going to be away for a few days and looking for a automatic feeder that can last 3-4 days?

It has a maximum 3Kg (6.5lbs) capacity food hopper (approximately 1 month for 1 cat) and is great to have if you are on vacation.

I have feeder similar to this one it's amazing but my cats can put their paws up where the food comes out & lets food down...beats the purpose of only giving them a certain amount. Would the same thing happen with this feeder?

This feeder has locking features on both the top of the storage container and where the food is dispensed to prevent your cats from overindulging.

Could you explain the "frequent feed" function? How often is "frequent"?

The Frequent Feed function allows the daily food allowance to be served over the course of a day, dispensing a single feed unit at a regular interval between a programmed start and finish time. The function is designed for pets with specific dietary requirements (e.g. diabetic cats) or if you wish to regulate the speed of your pet’s food intake.

Can you set each meal for a different amount? For example: Meal 1- 10g, Meal 2- 40g, Meal 3- 20g ?

The meal sizes of each meal can be adjusted so that each meal can be a different amount.

Auto feeder

My cats are afraid of the noise it makes when dispensing. Hoping in time they will adjust. Not very user friendly to set up time and dispensing times; and buttons

Not What It Used To Be

This is my second one of these after the first one finally gave out. I had that for years, I've had this one for less than 6 months. The feeder doesn't give consistent

This is my second one of these after the first one finally gave out. I had that for years, I've had this one for less than 6 months. The feeder doesn't give consistent amounts. It will just not feed. The clock won't keep up with a time. I've reset it many times, tried new batteries, etc. Just not a good product any longer. It's sad because its a lifesaver - if it works.

Had high hopes

I wanted to like this dispenser so much, it was exactly what I wanted but it doesn't work. I set it up, fill with food, and when I come back to check the clock

I wanted to like this dispenser so much, it was exactly what I wanted but it doesn't work. I set it up, fill with food, and when I come back to check the clock resets and wipes out everything i programmed. I have changed batteries, reread the instructions multiple times, and am ready to give up. Either this one is completely defective or it is a poor product.

I’ve had this auto feeder for over a year and it works spectacularly. As someone that works long days (10-12hrs) it provides peace of mind knowing that my cats will always have food regardless of my presence. It’s a bit of a pain to set up and change the times so definitely keep the manual if you purchase this product. The batteries are also a bit of a hassle but hey - not needing to change them out for over a year definitely supersedes having to replace the food more frequently. I highly recommend this auto feeder.

My pets don't like this iteam. They were very frustrated the food wouldn't come out as it's supposed to. Not worth the money is paid for this iteam. Doesn't work

I bought one of these several years ago to feed my semi-feral outdoor cat. I needed a sturdy feeder that could stand up to raccoons (inside the box I built to house it). The screw-type dispenser mechanism thwarts the raccoons being able to reach up inside, and it works great. So when my old Arf Pet feeder for the inside cats kept erroring no matter what i tried, I replaced it with another Cat Mate 3000. Works great, is reliable in the scheduled times and amounts it dispenses. The cats don't really care what dispenses their kibble, but I am happy with it!

Chewy recommended this after repeated issues with another brand I won't mention. This feeder keeps time, dispenses at the set times in the set quantity, doesn't accidentally drop food randomly, and in general simply works properly. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be a clear, or a clear part on the storage section, so you can more easily see the kibble inside it.

I rarely write reviews but these feeders have been a life saver for me. I work all the time and needed a reliable machine. Batteries last me over a year but I change

I rarely write reviews but these feeders have been a life saver for me. I work all the time and needed a reliable machine. Batteries last me over a year but I change them each November to be safe. Food comes out as designed with you set amount. I recommend cleaning every two months unless you notice a dispensing issue. I use Hills urinary care hard food and it’s a little greasy feeling. I clean them monthly. Up until we had to stop using them with one of our babies sick I never had a problem. Well they aren’t completely tamper proof. If you have a food motivated cat they will find a way. Ours finally flipped it over and pawed it until it popped open. He’s a jerk anyway but it took 4 years for him to before he started trying this. That’s my only concern now and wanted people to know. If your cat is normal your fine lol.
