I haven't got to use it yet because the mounting hardware (screws, nails, or sticky) wasn't included in my package. The cats are still loving the catnip that was included so thank you for that! I'll buy some nails and once the brush is mounted I'm sure they'll love it, but that is the only reason I'm giving a low star score. If the hardware had been included and it was easy to install I would've reviewed higher
We just had our kitchen painted and wanted to protect the corner where our cat loves to rub. This left a stain from the oils in his fur that we did not want to happen again with our fresh paint. We saw the self groomer brush on Chewy and decided to give it a try. Within seconds after putting it up he was rubbing on it and we can here him on it all the time. I think our new paint job is now safe.
I got this weeks ago. It is sharp. My cats did not use it. After a few weeks things have changed. My cat loves it. I will see my cat standing next to it. He rubs his face, neck, and body down it. He will just keep grinding his face and neck on it. I think he loves it. Not for every cat. Cole uses it more than Frito. I decided to get more because my cat likes it.
This item was exactly what I was looking for, for my cats that loves her neck and cheeks scratched. She used it immediately and loved it until it fell off the wall! The item comes with 2 tiny adhesives. You need at least 10 more adhesives included with the item for it to stay put. Now I get to pay extra money to go buy backing adhesive strips or throw the item away because the cats don’t care for it on the ground.
Just as the title says, the brush is good, the bristles are spaced out, which I like bc my long haired cats won’t get their hair stuck in it. The two sided sticky foam piece they give to stick the brush to objects tho is very weak. It didn’t even last the full night with my cats rubbing against, it ended on the floor.
I got this for my cheek rub loving girl. She LOVES it!!! I read the reviews about the adhesive bot stating. Mine stayed for a long time, several months. Adhesive dries. Honestly I’m gonna by $6 big pack gorilla glue mounting tabs and put it back up. I’ll think about using screws someday but I don’t mind buying more adhesive.
This is the second one I ordered. I do have a Kitty that stays in the garage and she is all crazy about it. I grow some fresh catnip and stick it on the brush too. One I have in the Kitchen for the other Kitties. Especially head grooming is great. On top of the brush I added a catnip lick ball and that makes is really fun for the Kitties.
My senior boy has an itchy face and loves to rub it on cat brushes, the couch, his scratching post, anything. This is the perfect blend of firm prints, so he can really get his scratch on, and soft tips, so he doesn’t hurt his face. He loves it! I will say, the tape to hold it to the wall is very strong. This is great for the cats, but be warned, when I removed it from my last rental, some of the plaster came off with it.
the sticky bits are small and don’t stick well, they keep falling off the walls. they seem to stay a bit better with command strips. also it doesn’t seem to collect the fur like a handheld brush, the bristles are straight and far apart so the fur sort of floats away.
Make sure you mount it correctly the first time because the adhesive will tear the wall off the wall. Yeah. The bristles are hard plastic. I thought they’d be a bit more rubbery. Also once the thing is mounted, trying to get catnip in the compartment is a bit ridiculous. Overall it gets the job done and wasn’t very expensive.
