I am quite happy with the CATIT PIXI litter box. Two of my cats stand up to pee and both aim high. I really liked the litter box that I was using prior to buying this one, but it was one of those that had the top section snap onto the tray and my cats managed to cause leaking along the seam between the two components of the box. After reviewing the PIXI litter box and comparing to others, I decided to give it a try. The design does a great job of keeping the litter from spreading outside of the box. No seams means so way for the urine to seep through. The PIXI is easy to clean and stays very tidy. There is a cutout in the back for lifting the box and that cutout is unfortunately right in the perfect position for my cats to pee through. So, what I have done is to get some litter pads designed for the Breeze system and use them to cover that open spot. The lid to the PIXI is tight enough to hold the pad in place against the back wall, but I also secure it with a binder clip. It works perfectly. One pad gets used per day. So, this box is working out to be an excellent option for cats that aim high when they pee and for my cats, using the litter pad to cover the opening in the back wall completely eliminates urine from getting outside of the box.

Also, the litter on the lid will fall in the container when you fold the lid and it doesn't allow much tracking of litter outside the litter box.

I was concerned about things getting stuck in the corners since they're so rounded but so far it's been great in that respect. All the waste, including clumps, have slid right out better than a non-stick pan - that part is really nice. However, cleaning it out is awkward. The lid easily opens for cleaning (see pics,) but the lid covers about 1/3 of the top requiring you to scoop and draw your hand out from under the lid before picking it up out of the box - doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's awkward to get your arm to do that. Regarding the sides, this would be an excellent choice if you had a kitty that pees standing or squirts out the side of a regular box. The sides are very high which I think would perfectly take care of that issue. However, it also makes cleaning a little harder - having to raise a full scoop over the high top of the sides - it's easy to spill some trying to dump the scoop into a waste bag. It would be a good trade-off, though, if you were trying to fix an issue of pee not always hitting the sides of a lower edged box. In addition, I can tell some of our cats (6) use it but probably not all yet. I've had it up about 10 days so, it might just take longer for the others to try it out. It is very pleasing to look at - having the contents of the litter box hidden from view - probably helps with odor as well. Overall, it has it's good points, but also some things I don't care for - hence the 3 star review. It just depends on what problems you might be dealing with.

I have many cats and two of which live in my bedroom. One tracks a lot of litter out because she normally leaps from a litter box and runs out bringing litter with her. Not with this box. They both really like it. And even like to sit on it when not using it. It is easy to open to clean out, the top tilts and any litter on the top will go back into the box. It really does keep a lot more of the litter from tracking out through the room. They come out of it on the top and litter will fall from their feet onto the top and back through the holes. I Love it !!
Great top entry litter box

My 2 cats can make a mess in their litterbox, sometimes peeing over the side, and leaving a trail of litter on the floor, so I wanted to try a top entry box. It did take them a day or two to get used to entry via the top but soon started to use it more than their old box. No more peeing over the side of the box or flipping litter outside the box, its reduced the amount of litter on the floor almost 100%. It looks and feels very sturdy and durable, and it's also very easy to open for cleaning purposes, and any litter on the top falls back into the box. Highly recommended!

Couldn't be more thrilled with this "jump-in" style litter box situation. One of our cats, Wolfie the Maine Coon, is a big fan of over-doing the covering up of his business, thus throwing litter out of all four corners of our old standard pan-style box. As much as we love him, the cleanup there was making us insane. We even got a really huge litter mat and he'd STILL manage to fling litter all over, and scratching up our old, beloved hardwood floor. With this super cute jump-in litter box, he can cover-up his biz til his heart's content and fling litter all over inside the box and not a single piece escapes. This box has also kept the dust level down in our house, which is also extremely appreciated. 10/10 from two very picky cats (Beans, age 4, we were afraid she wouldn't take to this new style ans she did instantly!) and a very picky Mom & Cat Dad.

This is a great addy for his needs. His older box was a bit too small. I like the fact that he has to jump on top of it to get in it. Gives him the exercise he needs.. He's an older overweight cat..

Our cat pees over the side of litterboxes with the highest of sides. I thought about getting a covered litterbox, but the clamshell nature of those designs means pee would definitely build up in the joint between the top and bottom halves. This top entry design solves both of those issues! The lid catching the litter off of her paws is another great feature. We used to have to vacuum around the litterbox every day because there would just be litter everywhere, even with a litter mat. The lid hinge is also thoughtfully designed in a way that corrals all the stray litter back into the box when the lid is lifted. It's super cute, quite large and roomy, feels very sturdy, and is super affordable considering the quality. I looked at a lot of other high-sided and top-entry litterboxes but this one checks all my boxes. I plan on buying another to replace our other litterbox and have recommended it to my friends that also have cats.

So excited to receive this product. I have several cats and a couple of them are standup pee 'ers... I wasn't sure if they would like being "enclosed", at first, I just set this up as an extra box. Once I knew it had been used, I was ready to eliminate my old box. So far so good! I wish it was a little bit longer. 3 of my cats are 18lbs or better, just to give them more room to turn around. It is very easy to scoop out. I highly recommend this to others that have stand up pee 'ers.
