Is the toy dishwasher safe? If not, what’s the best way to clean the inside?

Answer by ChewyAug 06, 2019
This toy is not dishwasher safe. Some customers report cleaning it by soaking it in warm, soapy water. Shake the toy with the soapy mixture inside, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.

Is the opening adjustable? Can I make it smaller to challenge my cat or is it only one size?

Answer by ChewyFeb 02, 2018
The opening is only one size.

Can this be for dogs also?

Answer by ChewyApr 15, 2018
This Toy is designed for use with cats.

Because the hole is large, the treats fell out all at once, Is there a way to adjust the hoke?

Answer by ChewyOct 02, 2020
The hole cannot be adjusted, consider using larger treats that won't fall out of the container.

Cats love it but no way to clean

I would give this 3.5. Pros - adjustable opening for variable treat sizes - cats really like batting it about - holds a decent amount of treats Cons - can't open

I would give this 3.5. Pros - adjustable opening for variable treat sizes - cats really like batting it about - holds a decent amount of treats Cons - can't open to clean - breaks easily, especially when batted about on hardwood floors and off of walls - can't open (yes, two strikes for not being able to open it)

Kibble toy

This feeds my cat very slowly by needing to be rolled around to release a few pieces at at time. The cat likes playing with it.

Cute and fun

My cat really liked this but we stopped using it. Unfortunately, the treats roll out all over the house no matter what size we use.

At first our kitty didn't know what to do with this. But he quickly learned that rolling it often resulted in treats being dispensed, and now it's one of his favorite things to play with. It's one of the best purchases we've made for him. I love watching him roll it around--he pushes it with his nose and sometimes gives it a good bat with his paws--and snorf up the food that comes out. He really concentrates! We don't keep it filled all the time, of course, and when we fill it, we put hard food into it, not treats. (In other words, the food we put into the ball is factored into his overall allotment of daily food.) It holds nearly 1/3 cup of kibble, if you fill it all the way. The treat ball has become part of the daily routine. He gets it in the morning and right before bed. He's not happy when it's empty, so I try to put it away when it's empty (he give these little huffs and puffs of consternation if he rolls it around for a long time and nothing appears). If your cat doesn't take to it right away, show them how it works. And then wait. If your cat is like mine, it just takes a bit for them to warm up to this enrichment toy.

Great for night time or days away

My cat really loves playing with this and loves getting the treats after. She is really food motivated so I appreciate that she has to be engaged to get the treat. I use the greenies dental treats and have to cut them so they come out of the smaller hole but it is worth it. She will play with this until she gets most of the treats out. Great distraction and self-play!

I had one feeder ball that my cats love and tried this one because the food was too small for the other and got out too quickly. This toy lets you freely affect the opening which eliminates that problem. The issue I have with this one is it got really dirty on the inside super fast, one piece of food is stuck at the opposite end and I can’t get it out. The inside is also greasy from the food and stained the clear plastic which was because it is impossible to clean well. Being able to take it apart to clean would be amazing.

Cute, works as is, cats mildly interested

This product works well, and seemed like a fun option for the cats. I have no idea why they are not too interested in the toy, even when it was full of treats, but

I use Greenie Indoor treats which are not large but they won't drop our of the small hole. We put it down with the larger hole open and they fall out to fast (the one that's used for putting the treats in). I was hoping to buy another one if it worked out so each. Of our two could play but it doesn't look like it will be the treat dispenser for them

This treat ball fit in the palm of my hand. It is super cute and small. It’s pretty easy to use. My senior cat loved it and figured it out quickly. my other one didn’t know what to do with it and was quickly disinterested. Not the toys fault, just a lazy cat perhaps. I’ve always wanted one of these, and i’d say it really just depends on the cat if they’ll figure it out.

Working for her treats

Great toy. However, I have to constantly look for it when she eats all the treats. Lol. Under couch, laundry room, behind water cooler. Ugh.
