I tried the Catstages Calming Kitty pal on each of my three cats. Two of my cats were afraid of the sounds it made but my older calico was curious and just wanted to lick it like it was her kitten. It has a lovely purring sound that would be great for cats that aren’t such scaredy cats as mine. It also has a heartbeat sound that you can activate and would be great for a young kitten. The best part was the removable heat pouch that you can microwave and warm the cat. In general it is a cute soft and furry cat toy.

Believe it's Helping Reduce Stress

I very much liked the idea of this 'calming pal' for one of my cats that is suffering from stress related symptoms. I put it with him on a new bed I bought for him though he didn't react to it much. I used the heartbeat setting and I do think it's helping him even though he doesn't 'snuggle' with it. He and his sister seem to fight less so I'm very happy for that. I can't speak to the warming aspect since I don't own a microwave but think it would be beneficial for him as well. My only issue with this item is that the instructions mention 2 pockets, one for the warming pillow and one for the heartbeat/purr piece. I couldn't find 2 pockets, I searched thoroughly. I wish there had been an illustration of some kind to help with that. I do not believe my issue with the instructions is only with this product. I observe that many items I purchase have incomplete or inadequate instructions and as an adroit puzzle solver I am not easily baffled.

My grown cats (ages 1-12) were completely unimpressed with this toy. I'm betting it would be great for newborn kittens or orphan bottle babies. It's well made. And

My grown cats (ages 1-12) were completely unimpressed with this toy. I'm betting it would be great for newborn kittens or orphan bottle babies. It's well made. And the purr/heart beat insert is accessible and clear. My young niece fell in love with it so I could say it doubles as a childs toy. She is currently cat less so she loves to carry this around and cuddle up with it.
