How long does the heartbeat work per charge?

The life of a charge can vary greatly depending on how the heartbeat is used. Our testing, along with reports from customers shows that it will last 3 days. Some customers who use the auto-off setting regularly report that a charge can last for weeks.

How long does it stay warm?

The length of time the pad stays warm depends on how long you heat it and how you are using it. Of course, the warmer you make it the longer it takes to cool down. Also, if you are using it inside the plush kitty as recommended, it will stay warm a little longer. And lastly, if the cat (or cats!) are lying on it that will extend the warmth. All that considered, it will hold warmth anywhere from 30-90 minutes.

Does the kitty toy animal also purr?

I adopted two littermate kittens three years ago, and one of them passed away unexpectedly. The other one has never been alone without his brother, and is absolutely grieving him. My vet suggested a heartbeat toy. I bought this one since it is rechargeable. I also found a little sloth toy that purrs. This toy did not disappoint. It's very nicely made and is a super soft minky type plush. I turned it on and set it next to my boy and he instantly reacted. I then turned on his purr toy, and he liked that as well. He went and sat in his brother's favorite bed, so I moved the toys to him. Now he's purring and napping with them. I had no idea if this would really comfort him, but it was an instant hit. I'm really glad I bought this for him.

This stuffed cat is for more than furbabies

We actually bought it for our friend in a nursing home. Since his massive stroke last Spring, he has been really lonely. Thiskitty was the purrfect gift for him!

seems to be well made. its soft and has a good weight. it came with a tag that says its a purr pillow but it doesnt purr. the heartbeat mechanism would be a nice

seems to be well made. its soft and has a good weight. it came with a tag that says its a purr pillow but it doesnt purr. the heartbeat mechanism would be a nice addition but with each beat it rattles like something is loose on the inside. takes away from the realness. a bit disappointed about that. if i can hear it i know pepper can, she actually walked away from it. the heating pad is very nice though. so i took out the heartbeat n put the heating pad in, which i think it could still be quite comfortable. but im not pepper. we'll see if she comes back to it. if not, ill have to return.
