I adopted a Manx with Manx Syndrome after she was dumped at a shelter by an irresponsible breeder. She is now four years old and the Syndome is causing issues for her. About a month ago, she stopped eating and threw up for the first time in her life. We have a cat vet (if you live in Oconee County, SC, and are looking for an awesome vet, it's Dr. Majsztrik). who recognized that Ainsley's genetic defect had kicked in. She had fluids, antibiotics, sedation, injections and awful tasting oral medication. I had tuna Churus for another one of the cats, and since it has taurine, I thought I would give that a try. She LOVED it and will eat her treat without balking (we tell her to lap and she does). It's easily digestable and is gentle on her tummy. She is still being treated (Manx syndrome is a lifelong, incurable condition that can have a wide range of effects on a cat's life expectancy{ but sh is a little warrior. I believe that her eating Churus has enabled her to have more strength with which to fight her battle. She will even eat it with some of her meds mixed in!

Likable treats

Personally, I’m not very interested in the taste but the cats really enjoy them. Unfortunately, they now sit a stare at me for another one.

They love it!

The only way I can get them to eat their prescription food is to drizzle Churu tuna in the bottom of the bowl and on the food.
