How do you turn the fish on/off?

Answer by ChewyOct 27, 2025
To turn it on, simply place the fish into the water bowl, it will begin swimming automatically once in the water. To turn it off, remove the fish from the water and allow it to stop swimming; there is no explicit “off” switch.

Can the water splash out as the cat plays with this toy?

Answer by ChewyOct 21, 2025
Water may splash out when filled with water, and it is being played with.

Can I buy extra fish?

Answer by ChewyOct 07, 2025
At this time, we do not carry additional fish.

Decided to give this as a Christmas present for my 5 cats. I figured at least one of them would like it, as usually they are pretty picky with toys and I wasn’t sure how they would react to the water component. It’s very easy to set up, you basically just fill it with water and add the included toys. The swimming/flashing fish worked right away, so I was very pleased as I had read that other peoples’ did not work. The turtle is static but does float. My youngest cat was the most interested in this toy, and played with it for several minutes. My other cats seemed to enjoy watching the swimming fish as well, although they did not physically engage with the toy. I also let my axolotl try playing with the swimming fish, and he really seemed to like swimming after it! All in all I think this has the potential to be a good toy for cats who like water, my cats just don’t like water very much.

I thought it was a cute cat toy. There is a blinking swimming fish and a floating turtle and a cute little fishbowl that you fill 1/2 way with water and float the fish and turtle. I have 5 cats and none of them spent more then 5 minutes scoping it out. They were afraid of it. I set it on the floor no bites and then I set on a table out of evertday traffic. Hoping that they would play with it where they could have some privacy. Still no bites. I tried putting it in the bathtub with the curtain1/2 closed. They heard it but still no bites. If I were a cat I would play with it.

My cats mostly sat from afar and watched the mechanical fish wiggle in a circle. My tuxedo who loves to play in the water fountain would poke at the floating turtle but eventually, they were only interested in drinking the water from the bowl instead of the toys. I kind of wasted my money on this one but it was worth a try.

If your kitties like water this is a good toy for them. My one kitty loves to watch the fish swim around and sometimes poke it with his paw. The turtle just floats around my one cat likes to try and scoop it out of the fish bowl. Make sure you place it where water splashing is not a problem or put down towels.also makes a good water dish. My cats like it a lot.

Fluffy was mesmerized by the moving fish. Chase started drinking the water from the bowl. I got it for Fluffy because he’s one of those rare cats who likes playing in water but we always discouraged it due to him flooding the kitchen. As long as the water level doesn’t rise above the fill line in the bowl, spillage is minimal. I recommend using this product on a hard surface though, with a non-slip mat to prevent the bowl from sliding. Nowhere does it state how the bowl should be cleaned, which would have been very helpful. I don’t want to stick it in the dishwasher only to find it non-dishwasher safe

This fish bowl sounds great in theory but in reality my cats could care less about it other than just drinking the water. There's only one fish that swims and it doesn't really even do that long enough or loud enough to catch anyone's attention. Another Goodwill gift I will be giving.

that caused Lui to lose interest. I put the bowl aside to dry as well as the fish. After a full 24 hours the fish started moving on the counter. I filled the bowl and dropped the now moving fish in, it swam for about a full minute then stopped. So rinse dry and voila the fish started moving again after it sat there overnight. There is no on/off button, so I let it flap around, it stopped after about an hour. I figured the battery died and left it there. The next day it started moving again. No reason, no movement nearby to trigger it. It kept moving for about 12 hours and stopped. It has been still now for almost 24 hours but I expect it will move again, just not in the water. It gets 2 stars because the movement on the counter gets Lui's attention and we have a bowl to use as a water dish.

Cute but fishes need more battery.

It’s cute and my cat loved it. Stated and try to fish it out for really long… but then just stop working even though we took it out after she wasn’t interested.
