This mat includes a battery (Lr44) with purchase. The Swat & Play Quiet Mat has touch activated lights that spring to life when cats play with the mat! When playtime is over and it's time for a cat nap, this play mat turns off automatically.

Battery issues...Cheap Toy

I bought 1 of these for my cat and also one for my adult daughter's cats. I pulled out the battery tab on the one for my cat and nothing happened. I tried the

I bought 1 of these for my cat and also one for my adult daughter's cats. I pulled out the battery tab on the one for my cat and nothing happened. I tried the one for my daughter and that didn't work either. I finally opened the battery box and took out the button batteries. In both mats, the middle battery was corroded. The first and third batteries looked better. I threw away the bad batteries and took 3 of the 4 good ones to try again. The mat worked then. I will have to go and buy 2 more button batteries if I want to use the second mat. After all this, my cat liked it when I hit the mat and the lights lit up. She tried to make it work by stepping on it, and the lights didn't come on. She immediately gave up. That was surprising because she loves laser pens and usually works at things until she can get it to work. I will probably give the mat to my daughter who has a very active kitten, and maybe buy more batteries for the 2nd one.

Does not work

Have had this delivered x2 now. First time did not work. Called Chewy. They graciously sent me a new one. That does not work. Sending it back. I am done. To be clear
