Pianissimo in music means "to be performed very softly." A clever name which ties into this feed's purpose of promoting calm energy by using lower protein sources. I personally like the way it looks, it has a nice texture and smells okay, so it is appealing to me as a horse owner. I have 4 horses and 3 like it very much but one (my OTB) won't even try it. I thought this would be good for my 2 year old colt who is in training and tends to be pretty flighty and nervous when anyone attempts to mount. I have been giving it to him for a couple of weeks and introducing it slowly. I am just getting up to the recommended amount but have not yet noticed a change in his behavior, though he has put on a few pounds. I appreciate the vitamins and minerals it contains, plus probiotics, and it even has some tryptophan, which has been used in humans to naturally help with sleep. I am hopeful that it will help my colt in the long run but I will have to give it a few more weeks before handing down a verdict!

Have 2 easy keeper horses I was excited to try this new to me food on. Easy keepers because they will eat just about anything. This food has an interesting look to it, more like puffed rice cereal with some other stuff mixed in. Not a lot of odor to this product, just a slight neutral scent. Being you have to introduce new feed to a horse slowly, that is what I did. My horses didn't like the taste. They spit out the new food that was mixed in. I have slowly added more of this new food to their mix. They now eat it but without any gusto. I wanted to make sure and give this food a real try - but it's not going to be in my normal feeding program for my horses. Can't comment or any attitude change or coat and hoof changes as not used long term.

The Horse feed has been well received by my two mares. I slowly incorporated Cavalor Pianissimo Feed into their routine as not to disrupt the digestive cycle with a different feed. The girls really seem to enjoy the different textures this feed provides. The bag is sealed well to keep ingredients fresh and visually the feed is appealing. I don't like that Molasses is up there on the ingredient list, but like that there are Omega-3 supplements added for a shiny coat.

The feed is very digestible, and the horses love the taste. It has been a beneficial way to add cool calories for my Saddlebred mare and Half-Saddlebred gelding

The feed is very digestible, and the horses love the taste. It has been a beneficial way to add cool calories for my Saddlebred mare and Half-Saddlebred gelding who are hard keeps. That said, the cost per serving is a bit high. This would be a go to for me during rehab are as part of a medical courses of treatment.

I usually feed grain once a day as a supplemental treat as as my very old girls are on pasture, The one who is picky because she wants molasses in the grain, ate this feed. The other who loves oats also ate it (trying to pick out the oats) but OK with the other ingredients. It looks good, fresh and nice packaging. If it had more molasses I'd give it five stars.

It is always a little challenging introducing a new horse feed . I tried Cavalor Pianissimo Horse feed to take the edge off my OTTB . I was pleased with how well he took to it, not losing weight, and seemed to take the edge off during workouts. I used Cavalor in the past and liked it a lot. I would recommend to others with high anxiety horses
