I am writing this review with a very heavy heart because I have been using this horse feed for years. My horses look great and they clean up everything in their feed bin. Also, I have recommended Cavalor on many occasions. I order 5 bags every 4 weeks from Chewy. So, when I first had a quality issue, I thought it was an anomaly. However, then it happened AGAIN. On 26 Jan 2024, I received 5 bags and 3 of the 5 were questionable - 50 percent dust and large black chunks of stuff. To be honest, it looked like it was horse feed from the bottom of the bin. Filed a service claim with photos then Chewy promptly replaced the bags and all was good. Next shipment, 18 Feb 2024, this time 4 of 5 bags had the same quality issue. Chewy now wants me to send the 4 opened bags back to refund my money. I am aware, this is not a Chewy problem, but this is definitely a Cavalor quality issue problem. I have cancelled auto ship and changed my feed company.

My horse loves this feed! We have been feeding this with Cavalor Vitamino and noticed an overall increase in his topline and muscle mass. Our local feed store wasn't keeping Cavalor in stock, so having Chewy deliver to our door has been fantastic!

Cavalor horse grain is truly the best feed available. Their customer service is so helpful if you need any guidance. www.cavalor.com There is a specific feed for most any type of horse. I will feed this in the warm months, and Pianissimo in the winter when my horse is fresh and doesn't get as much turnout.

I bought this feed because I was trying to find something without soy. The first ingredient listed in the nutritional information is flax plant product. However, when the bag arrived, the tag lists the first ingredient as soybean hulls. Flax and soy are not the same thing, obviously. If I wanted to feed soy I certainly would have picked something less expensive. Won't be purchasing again.
