Life saver during chemo
My 10 yr old kitty was diagnosed with lymphoma 3 months ago and although he is responding well to chemo, his weight is a serious concern because he's very small. Last week the vet said I could stop giving this to him since he wasn't vomiting and had a good appetite. Well his appetite sharply decreased and my 6.4 lb kitty got even skinner! I put him back on this and his appetite returned. I won't take him off this again!! He needs ever pound he can get! Word to the wise... get a cat/dog "piller" from Amazon, especially if you are having difficulty giving your fur baby a pill. This allows you to accurately aim the pill towards the back of the tongue. It is super easy to use and a lot less stressful for us both.
Cerenia has been like a miracle drug.
My 9 year old yorkie mix was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease about 18 months ago. He is being seen by an internal medicine specialist and is on 6 medications daily but he was refusing to eat much at all. He had lost several pounds and I eventually met with a wholistic veterinarian. She observed my dog and asked me many questions about his behaviors. She felt he was feeling too nauseous to want to eat. She prescribed Cerenia for the nausea and in 3 days, I was beginning to see a difference. After several weeks on this drug, he is back to eating normally. So grateful!
Aids motion sickness
My rescue dog is terrified of cars and gets nauseated whenever we have to take him somewhere. My vet prescribed cerenia which took away the nausea and makes him calmer so I would definitely recommend this product.
Great Option for Needed Rx
CKD and IBD Tazi needs this Rx. We got it initially from her vet, but it is much cheaper and more convenient to get from Chewy. Thank you Chewy. In terms of the product itself, I wish there was more clear and definitive information about administering it. Vet says Ok to mix with food; others say not to put in pill pocket, liquid or food. Also wish there was a transdermal option for a cat too feisty for pill popping.
To our surprise our rescue dog gets motion sick (car sick) - quickly!! Nothing worked to help her (not even Dramamine). Cerenia does the trick and is worth the expense. No more messes in the car. Nevertheless, we are still trying to acclimate her to riding in the car, using short rides to fun places. (So far we have not been successful).
My little fox terrier has pancreatitis and always has flair-ups. It always starts with showing signs of throwing up might be coming on, but as soon as I notice she isn't feeling well, I give her one of these and it immediately stops the on-set of more pain and vomiting. I /she can't live without it.
Want smaller shipping box
My cat thrives on 1/4 tab of Cerenia every few days, recommended by my vet. I appreciate the speed of the delivery, but I would like a smaller box, to save on shipping materials.
If your pup or kitty ever has excessive vomiting, whether bile or undigested food, this pill works to stop it. I have been using it for years on the many pups I have had over the last 40 years (though not frequently, thankfully). Also, Chewy will send your prescriptions immediately once they receive the information they need from the vet. I have been getting food, treats, and drugs from Chewy for years and Chewy is fantastic- - they send your order immediately and they have such a wide selection of items you might need for your pet. Thanks, Chewy!
For cats with asthma too
Both of my cats have feline asthma and use an inhaler. One of them does really well on the inhaler but the other still has breakthrough coughing. Cerenia has stopped my kitties asthma as long as he gets his pill everyday. I chose this over prednisone as Pred can cause diabetes long term.
I can't recommend Cerenia enough....
Our Violet had motility issues her entire life and we used Cerenia daily. It does the trick - every time, without fail and without wondering if it will. No, it's not made for daily use, but she had projectile multiple times a day without it. An expensive venture, to be sure. She was 89lbs and we used 60mg once a day... more than adequate. We have had to use it intermittently with other pups and all to the same end... it works. Perfectly.
