Its a good collar
It has to go through this metal loop to latch. Which is hard when a dog is as active and won't hold still for a collar, like mine. However, it is extremely secure and well made and for that I am grateful. Ended up working on training her better to hold still and stop mouthing it and she does fine with putting it on now.
Poor quality
Collar has the ring in the inside not on the outside where it would be more convenient. Put on my dog and let him out for the first time...he ran and the plastic clips to connect the collar broke and my dog ran off. He was gone for 5 hours leaving us extremely worried and upset. Cheaply made product
Good except for plastic piece broke
These are great collars -- very visible with the 3m like reflective silver, nice sturdy metal loop for attaching leash/lead, etc. But of two I've bought, both had the little plastic slider fail, meaning the collar slips open and the dog can wriggle out. Will look for one with metal/sturdier plastic next time.
Runs small
If you are replacing a collar that is just one layer thick (like most collars are), check the listed measurements carefully. If the length of your old collar is exactly the maximum listed length for the new collar (i.e. 19.5 for a Large) then consider buying the next size larger. This is because this collar is a little wider and also thicker (because of the extra layer of reflective material) than your standard collar. Therefore the new collar will be very slightly more snug for the exact same length. I hope this is understandable. Other than that, it's a perfect collar. However because of its width and thickness I would hesitate to get it for a really small dog.
Good Collar
Not too expensive, seems relatively well made. My golden doesn't mind wearing it. Not too much scratching at it and virtually no resistance for it to be put back on.
Collar too big
This is a nice collar but is too big for my dog and there is not a lot of shortening space to make it fit. Since she is not a runner, I decided to keep it. If I had known, I would have measured the collar she had on for the length.
Collar for my dog
I give it a five star for the way it is made but unfortunately I'll never know if it will work or last like it says it will because it is to big and to wide for my little Bit. I got the smallest there was but it came much bigger than it said and it's much to wide for him too. I'll just put it up till I find a dog that might need it one day but for now Little Bit still goes without a collar.
Very thick collars
This is a solid, well made collar, but...very thick, sort of over-kill on size and weight just for a collar. I think useful for someone who wants to use a collar for leashing a dog that may pull, but if you use a harness for walking or are just looking for a basic collar for dog tags, I recommend something lighter.
sturdy, but light collar
Bought this for my new rescue puppy. It is light weight, but sturdy. Being light weight, I do not have to worry about it rubbing on her neck. The buckle has to pass through the large ring before the two pieces snap into place, so even if it did unbuckle, which seems unlikely, it would catch on the ring. Am happy thus far with this collar. Nice reflective quality. Only down side, shipping took longer than expected.
Perfect Dog Collar
Mason loves his new collar. Looks awesome on him. Very soft around his neck. Having the Reflective is definitely a plus.
