This thing is a giant cat toy. The outside is made of foam with the mechanisms built inside the ball. To get to the mechanism, change movement functions, or to charge you unscrew the ball apart. There are 3 different functions that change how the ball rolls, hops, & bounces along. The foam does feel pretty sturdy but I would not trust it alone with dog that likes to chew or bite into balls like mine does. It’s heavy so don’t know how well the mechanism would hold if you did long periods of fetch. Unfortunately did not hold the attention of either of my dogs but it doesn’t match their play style. Cool toy, great design, just not for us!

The Cheerble Wicked Ball Air is definitely a conversation‑starter in the dog toy world. My older dogs weren’t quite sure what to make of it at first—the motion and noise spooked them a bit—but the real test came when my friend’s puppy tried it. That little pup absolutely lost his mind in the best way. He chased it nonstop, pounced on it, barked at it, and kept coming back for more. The automatic motion and unpredictable bouncing are exactly what high‑energy puppies crave. It kept him entertained far longer than any traditional toy, and the waterproof, durable design held up beautifully to all the excitement. Even after rolling through water bowls, mud, and puppy teeth, it still looked and worked like new.
