what is the range?

Chipolo works by connecting to the Bluetooth signal on your phone. Chipolo’s Bluetooth range can extend up to 200 feet (60 meters) when there is a clear line of sight from your phone to the Chipolo. However, if any other Chipolo user's phone/tablet is within 200 feet / 60 meters of your Chipolo, you will receive an update with the location of your Chipolo. When this happens, you will see a pin on the map view for your Chipolo. This essentially makes the range limitless once there are enough Chipolo users in your area. As the technology improves, so will the Chipolo capabilities.
Does it require a subscription?

Chipolo offers all its features without additional subscription fees. Chipolo item finders are compatible with devices running iOS 12 and later, and devices running Android 7 and later. For Chipolo to work, the device must also be equipped with Bluetooth 4.
do they have to be charged?

The key finder uses a coin-shaped battery model CR 2032 that you can find in most shops selling regular AA batteries. When the battery runs out, you can replace it yourself in a few simple steps.

Don't buy this item

It never maintains a connection so you will never find the item or in this case pet you've lost.

too limited

This works only on your home wifi network. So if you leave, it flags your animal as missing. Also, the notification is only a banner on your phone. It goes easily unnoticed. They need to make it have a loud alert.

Husky Mom!!!

I ordered this and it was not what I expected. I will say that if you leave something somewhere this is the item for you. However if you want to track say... a Husky you need something a bit more. Over all the item works the way it should and their app is pretty good. I will be returning this though as it is not what I actually wanted. I just wanted to give a review because it is a good item, it works for certain things but if you are wanting something for a runaway husky and want to be able to GPS track him... this is not what you are looking for. Thank you!!!

Pitiful for pets

Not at all what I expected. It works if your pet is in hearing range. Should not be sold for pet use.

I bought these for my puppy and she already broke 2 in 2 weeks.
