Great little rewards
I am a service dog handler and was seeking out a reasonably priced, good, low calorie crunchy treat for reinforcement on the go. Tricky Trainers looked about right, had a nice price, good size and additionally had a salmon flavor - which I knew was a safe protein for my dog. Upon opening the box, my dog was all over them; going as far as picking up the bag and throwing them at me! She works well for them, they don't leave too much residue, and they're nicely sized for frequent rewarding without adding excessive calories. I will say that they have a tendency to crumble and are rather fragile, so these are not a treat you can break apart. Otherwise, we are pleased.
Too Crumbly!
I love using the Cloud Star crunchy cheddar Tricky Trainers, so I thought I’d switch up flavors to keep my dog interested. But these salmon ones are terrible! They crumble in the bag and in my treat pouch. A third to half of the product goes to waste because it’s just crumbs. Not only that, but my dog is not very impressed with the flavor. She definitely likes the cheddar better too.
Treats
I've been giving these treats to my dog for some time, she loves them. Now they are also a favorite for my puppy.
Nice but don't hold up.
Nice small training treats and the dogs like them, but they are super crumbly and fall apart easily in your pocket/treat bag. Lots of crumbs in the bag which is just wasted treats.
Perfect training treats
I've been using these non-stop and they seem to be bottomless. I'm shocked at how long they've been lasting with the frequency of use. I'm also pleased that with the high frequency of use that there has been absolutely no diarrhea which is usually an issue for many treats.
Good and easy to feed
It’s so good. While training it makes me easy to carry and the size is small and perfect for training. I am having golden retriever and he absolutely likes it. It’s not too soft not too hard.
So far good
It was good enough to distract my pup from reacting to another dog. It's not fresh cooked meat kind of distraction but she does like it alot. I was Hoping so since she likes to try and eat the cats food. I like that they aren't soft because the soft ones loose their moisture and get kind of hard if I don't use them fast enough. Perfect size for treat training. I will definitely be buying again, at least as long as she will like them.
Puppy treats
My puppy didn't really care for them. Animals can be so fussy. And since they can't talk I really can't tell you why she didn't really take to them. But since chewy has such a wide variety of puppy treats I found a couple others and that she likes a lot better.
Love the treats
I like to switch up my dog's treats every few months so she enjoys training. These treats were a nice surprise because she has quickly fallen in love with the salmon flavor. I like that they are small and hard, some training treats are soft and become stale over time. They also provide peace of mind because they are only 2 calories per treat.
it’s a ‘no’ for kohl
Ordered these little treats for our Furbo and kohl refused to eat them during his taste test. They are dry and crunchy as described but kohl might simply prefer soft and chewy treats. Either way he’s not a fan
