Are these harder or softer?

These treats do not require refrigeration after being opened. It's recommended to store them at room-temperature in a dry area.

Is the chicken in the treats (sweet potato treats, fruit treats, etc...) chicken breast like in the freeze dried chicken breast treats?

The treats are made from 100% natural and human grade chicken. Freeze dried is raw, not cooked. There is no heat applied. The freezers are 85 degrees below zero as well as pressurized and that extracts the moisture from the product. Freeze drying locks in all the big bold flavors with no nutrient loss, no preservatives and minimal processing.

New Texture Extremely Hard!

I have been getting my dog these treats for years and they were very easy to break apart and crumble to add to their food, but the way they are now in the new purple

I have been getting my dog these treats for years and they were very easy to break apart and crumble to add to their food, but the way they are now in the new purple bag is awful! They are extremely hard and difficult to break up into smaller pieces! My dogs had difficulty chewing them up. I will not be buying them again if they are going to continue to be rock hard like this! Please go back to the old version!!

Terrible! Fool me once

I have been buying Whole Life Pumpkin & Yogurt Healthy Gut Treats in the green bag for my 13 year old, almost toothless, Chihuahua for years. These were very easy for her to crumble and chew. Last time I received the Salmon treats the bag was a new color and they are exactly the same texture as the old color bag. I just got the new purple bag of the Healthy Gut Pumpkin and when I opened them they are bricks! HARD AS ROCKS!!! So I called Whole Life 877-210-3142 and they told me "No, they did not announce" that the new bags contained ROCKS..."so sorry". Also told me to get my money back from Chewy where they were purchased. Why should Chewy have to refund the money to the fooled customers instead of the company who fooled us. Shame on Whole Life!

My dog is very food motivated, even so, she seems to really enjoy these. She perks up when she hears the bag opening and runs over when she smells these. I like

Horrible Treats

I had previously been getting these treats and they were perfect for my two small maltese dogs. The formula has changed. I had a an order that I thought was maybe

I had previously been getting these treats and they were perfect for my two small maltese dogs. The formula has changed. I had a an order that I thought was maybe just a fluke and they were rock hard. Now this 2nd order is the same. No way can my dogs chew into them. Both bags now have to go into the trash. $40 down the drain. I'd give no star if I could. I always order their food here and have always been pleased. Not so with these treats. Chewy can do better than this.

We used to get these treats all the time for my dog that is missing a lot of teeth. They were light and fluffy and easy to chew. In my latest shipment. The treats were much harder and dense and not airy and light. Not sure if this is a permanent change or a one-off. It definitely changes whether or not my dog is able to enjoy the treat.
