Is this safe for 5 gallon bucket at the bottom to keep water from freezing Live where temps get below freezing a few time but nit drastically

is it plastic and glass safe to small fish and will it explode and work ifit doesn't are there returns?

The Neotherm Pro heaters are resin based and will not fracture like normal glass heaters. They are designed to be fully submerged and should not be exposed to the air, similar to their standard Neotherm heaters. They are safe to use in glass, plastic, or acrylic tanks.

This heater features a built-in thermal protection circuit that shuts down the heater before it can overheat, and the shatterproof casing is virtually indestructible. This is designed for any freshwater, marine, and reef tanks and terrariums.

ONCE A GREAT COMPANY & HEATER

Unfortunately this once great company and heater is no longer. The original Cobalt Neo-Therm was precision accurate and the Customer Service Department at Cobalt

Unfortunately this once great company and heater is no longer. The original Cobalt Neo-Therm was precision accurate and the Customer Service Department at Cobalt was unparalleled. They replaced the Cobalt Neo-Therm with the Cobalt Neo-Therm Pro which is inaccurate, doesn’t hold temperature (the temperature variations are ridiculously and dangerously wide). There appears to be no Customer Service Department to call and they don’t respond to emails so there is no way to execute their warranty repair/reohacement. It’s truly sad that Cobalt, once a great company is no longer a great company. Buy Eheim Jager at Chewy, they are way less expensive and they are temperature accurate.

good choice for aquatic turtle tank

We bought this to replace another in our turtle tank. These were great as our aquatic turtles can knock heaters around so the typical glass heaters are not a good

We bought this to replace another in our turtle tank. These were great as our aquatic turtles can knock heaters around so the typical glass heaters are not a good choice. We run two an hour 125 gallon tank just in case one fails.

Great until it broke

I have several of these, and about half of them stopped working at a little over a year. Looks like the sensor (colored lights spinning around the dial nonstop)

Takes awhile to Warm up, but GREAT!

I didn't realize it was going to take almost 48 hours to get the temperature all the way up for my fish. I guess any faster my shock them, so I was okay with that

Now they are swimming around, happy as can be! Thank you. It's expensive, but the one I was using I kept having to replace every 8-10 months! This better last for years!

My fish is so happy

So glad I got this, the tank always felt too cold despite having bought a cheaper heater and my Betta was always frozen in one spot. I saw this heater recommended

So glad I got this, the tank always felt too cold despite having bought a cheaper heater and my Betta was always frozen in one spot. I saw this heater recommended by another review for a different item and decided to try it. Finally! My tank stays at 80* when I set it to that! My Berta (Arby) is so much more active now and clearly more comfortable and happy! Best thing I’ve ever done for my fish!
