Not good in cold weather

This girth has some nice features, good elastic, seems well made, conforms good to the horses body. Is absolutely useless in cold weather. Turns hard , my horse

This girth has some nice features, good elastic, seems well made, conforms good to the horses body. Is absolutely useless in cold weather. Turns hard , my horse hates the cold feeling, takes a long time to warm up. Not good in northern climates in the winter

I have not yet "put it to the test", only used it once so far, but it seems soft and sturdy. I bought it because my horse is quite sensitive (more than most), and I wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. He didn't like my last girth, which had no elastic. If I were a horse, I would want elastic in my girth, too! Collegiate products are good (I used to work in the equestrian retail world) and reliable. I'm excited to use this regularly. It's strong, has sturdy elastic, has nice cushy foam (not too thick), and has a good width. Nice product!

I needed to replace my old dressage type girth. I found this memory foam Collegiate girth. It's very soft and padded with high quality stainless steel buckles. Absolutely no galling or rubs after many miles of trail riding. I can confidently recommend this product.
