If assembled correctly this bed will be stable.

Is this bed okay for outdoor location where it may be exposed to rain?

Answer by ChewyJul 04, 2021
This bed is great for indoor and outdoor use. The lightweight, powder-coated steel frame will last through the tough outdoor elements.

Why is an elevated bed better than a normal bed? Are there any benefits?

Answer by ChewyJun 20, 2019
The main benefit of this elevated bed is that it allows air flow on all sides of the bed, keeping your pet cool and comfortable. Another benefit is that it's made with a metal frame which tends to be very durable, even with a pet who tends to chew.

The mesh seemed to stretch it and sag fairly fast, like within the first week. I put pads on the feet as the plastic caps seemed to sink into the frame. One ripped within a couple weeks but i believe that was due to a rough edge on their nylabone bone. I am pleased with the weight laid this product can hold. The one in my office gets used the most. I’ve sat on it with my dog; all three dogs have gotten on it at once (over 200 lbs. and yes, they each have their own). I know it wasn’t made to hold all of that. It did start to rip (I think from chewing a bone while laying on it). I placed a few heir doughnut bed on top and it’s a favorite resting spot. I do prefer to the canvas over this plastic like woven material

My dogs have what I call a “cot club “by the fence where they can peek through and watch the neighbors go by .. They have four of these - I used to try different brands, but I found that the coolaroo brand ( metal frame ) last ! . I’ve replaced the tops on mine every two years or so ( & replacent tops are great prices on chewy ! )these things last in the weather.

I have put together many things in my life but these dog beds are not as easy as the video suggests. The alignment is off by one-half inch! No matter how much you pull it will not align. So now I will likely have to pay someone to see if they can put it together. I have never had any issues with Chewy but maybe they should reconsider who is making these beds.

Not easy to build needs two strong people!

This bed sucks to put together, the material does not stretch even an half inch so getting in the last screw takes three people to push pull and line up the bolt!!!

This bed sucks to put together, the material does not stretch even an half inch so getting in the last screw takes three people to push pull and line up the bolt!!! Don’t buy unless you have a vice grip to hold it in place, even then the middle comes apart if you pull too hard. Horrible design, sucks to put together!!!!!!!

I initially bought this elevated pet bed because we spend a lot of a time outside and with my dog's recent knee surgery, she shouldn't be laying directly on the ground. She took to this bed immediately and absolutely loves it. We bring it in each night and she will go from that bed to her soft bed and back. Simple design, easy to put together.

i bought this for my 11-week old pup who’s currently learning “place”. i wanted her to have a distinct spot for her to stay in while learning this command, but i know that she would get too excited over soft dog beds and they’d be ripped to pieces. she loves this bed and teaching her to get up and down off of it was a breeze. when she inevitably bites this bed, i have no doubt that it will withstand her sharp puppy teeth because of its durable material. i am using this indoors but will definitely be purchasing another one for outdoor use. i bought size large which is quite big for her now, but she’s still growing and i wanted something that will last her a long time. awesome product, and i highly recommend!

I bought these because the company sells replacement beds--the cloth part. I foster rescue dogs and have my own. These beds are well used all year long. They are tough enough to handle all sized pups so far from medium beagles to Mastiff and Anatolian giants. All my fur babies love to relax in the winter sunshine and summer shade. I feel better that they are not on the cold, hard ground or burning hot NC ground.

This was rather difficult to put together, and took alot of strength since the cloth needed to be super stretched in order to screw everything together. I also find my dog doesn't like the material of the cloth. He refused to lay down until I put a blanket down, bit even at that point he gets up as quickly as he can to lay down on the ground next to it... Overall not a bad product, but not great for every dog...

Good beds

Took a little effort to figure out the best way to get them together, alone. Once I figured it out the others were easy. Fur babies love them, got in the cots immediately!

Very difficult to build

I thought it would be an easy assembly but noooo, it was one the hardest thing I had to build. The steel rods do not align well for the small bed. We had to do adjustments
