Moldy Bones

I came across this brand while ordering some new bones chewy and it reminded of an experience I had with this brand a while back so I wanted want to post here to let others know. First off I want to say I did not by these bones from Chewy. I got them from my local store. I bought 3 of these for my dogs a month before Christmas and when I went to give them to them a month later all 3 had mold on them and smelled rotten. They were all store in a cool dry place and all 3 had a use by date at least a year beyond when I opened them. They were all still properly vacuum seal still so I don't know how they could have went bad so fast. One of the bones had a different lot number than the other two so I don't think it was a case of getting a bad batch. I attempted to contact the manufacture multiple times but they never returned any of my messages. I would stay away from these bones and probably this brand all together.

Let me say, it’s not bad! It’s just not for us or my dog. It’s huge which is great aka it’s cost effective but I don’t like how messy it is or how easily things

Let me say, it’s not bad! It’s just not for us or my dog. It’s huge which is great aka it’s cost effective but I don’t like how messy it is or how easily things break off can could be chewed or choked on. I highly recommend keeping an eye on your pup while they chew this. My dog is a bit simple and won’t take the time to properly chew and swallow so I have to watch her like a hawk. If your dog has more than 1.2 brain cells, I don’t see this being as much of an issue, but I advise being careful. I think it would keep a dog occupied for quite some time, but I took it away pretty quickly so I can’t really give a large time estimate.

We don't usually use these types of bones on a regular basis but used them for special treats. I set the bone on the counter when it arrived - and our normally well behaved pup -- counter surfed to nab the bone! So obviously he loved it! It's definitely suited for larger dogs (probably 50 pounds and up) and it was probably the most long lasting bone we have had in awhile - it lasted several chew sessions. We will absolutely consider using this bone for a special treat for our dogs.

I gave this Mega Serrano Ham Bone to my 100 lb Belgian Malinois. She grabbed it so quick and ran to hide & chew it. I didn't have time to focas the camera to take her picture. She chewed it for hours and then hid it for another day. She loved it. Size was excellent for large agressive chewers.

I didn't have a chance to get a picture. My dog, Kira, took it and laid down with it. I let her have about 2 hours with it. I took it away and put it up. During the night she found it and finished it off. Apparently, she loved it From a human point of view, it did look tasty. Kira is a standard Poodle and it really took her no time to finish it off. There is still bone left, but she has been savoring it daily.

Great treat but just not for my dog

I gave it to my English Bulldog outside and she kept trying to bring it inside LOL. She finally figured out it was an outside toy. She chewed it pretty aggressively

I gave it to my English Bulldog outside and she kept trying to bring it inside LOL. She finally figured out it was an outside toy. She chewed it pretty aggressively for a little while, then she came in the house the vomited lots of phlegm and little strips of the tendons from the bone. Sadly I had to take it away from her.
