Can this product be used on long haired cats?

Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine can be used on cats. A very small amount is all that is necessary. Apply a dot of Detangler to your palms before smoothing through fur. After grooming is finished, rinse or use a damp cloth to remove any excess. For matted fur try applying dot of Detangler to your forefinger and work directly into the mat using forefinger and thumb, as mat breaks up, gently brush out.

Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine can be used on humans. Great as a pre-styling treatment, detangler of course, conditioning treatment etc. And a little goes a very long way. For humans, we recommend starting with a pea-sized amount.

Does it detangle tight mats?

It may be possible to detangle some mats after using this concentrated formula however, it will depend on how tight the mats are.

Detangled my Border Collie's skirt!

My Border Collie is 9 months old, very impatient with grooming but has a full rough coat. This stuff has made combing her (yes with a comb!) out every day a breeze!

My Border Collie is 9 months old, very impatient with grooming but has a full rough coat. This stuff has made combing her (yes with a comb!) out every day a breeze! I rub some of it in her skirt and behind her ears where she is most tangled and she will let me comb her while she eats her breakfast without squirming and wiggling! It's a miracle!

So effective but smells too strong to use

I love how easy this makes detangling. I could actually brush my doodle’s tail without her caring about it, which has never happened. So 5 stars for effectiveness

I love how easy this makes detangling. I could actually brush my doodle’s tail without her caring about it, which has never happened. So 5 stars for effectiveness. But this smells SO strongly that it’s really off-putting. My pup has sensitive skin and this makes her very itchy. So 1 star for sensitive pups. I hope they make an unscented version of this in the future, I would buy it in a heartbeat!

My collie has lamb soft fur behind her ears that mats incredibly quickly. I really wasn’t expecting much considering I’ve used detangling spray before, but this really was incredible. Think how wet hair with conditioner just slides over itself, but just with a little goop and no water. I’ll be buying this forever and hopefully her terrible behind the ear mat removing haircut can grow back now haha.

Cowboy Magic Makes Brushing Easier!

Using Cowboy Magic by rubbing it in my hands and coating my Doodle’s coat makes it so much easier to brush and comb her double coat. AND, .it smells so nice!

I have used other products in the past due to budget, but this one is the best and worth the money. A little goes a long way in working out tangles in the horse's mane and tail. Yes, your hands will get greasy if you do not wear gloves, but I don't mind because the results of a tangle free mane and tail are worth it.
