Does the bottom tray actually collect the urine or is the urine caught in the reusable mat?

This just working out perfectly for my small mix whose getting up on years. He won't go out in snow or rain so he uses this. And when he can't make it thought the night, he potties on his own little grass. So easy to clean and the pads under the grass are so absorbent. He started using the pad within 24 hours. No odor either. Simple to clean.

I have mixed feelings with this product. The tray design and drainage are great. However, the cheap artificial grass pad leaves me to think why did I ever buy this

I have mixed feelings with this product. The tray design and drainage are great. However, the cheap artificial grass pad leaves me to think why did I ever buy this thing. Puppies are curious by nature and like to chew and tear at everything. This grass appears to be a section cut from a larger roll without having the edges sealed to keep it from falling apart. The grass gets everywhere once it detaches from the pad.

Looks like grass

I use it for my puppy in her playpen area. I put a disposable pee pee pad under the grass layer otherwise the reusable pad would be in the laundry all the time

I use it for my puppy in her playpen area. I put a disposable pee pee pad under the grass layer otherwise the reusable pad would be in the laundry all the time. I do like it as it gives my puppy a marked area for going potty. I take the turf outside spray it off and let it dry. I think it is a good tool for potty training.

Smells Awful and doesn’t drain properly

We have a puppy that uses this pretty exclusively for potties right now and it smells absolutely horrible. I did have it indoors because it’s so cold here, but I had to put it outside on our balcony because the smell just radiated throughout the house. I clean it every other day and change potty pads every day and it still just absolutely smells terrible and I’ve noticed recently that the grass doesn’t drain properly which means puppy is getting on the potty pad to potty, and then tracking their pee throughout the house because the top of the grass remains wet. I love the concept, but don’t like this particular product.

She is use to using California grass to go potty and we now live in a snowy ski town in Colorado. So its nice putting her on the matt at 5am instead of going outside. She pee’s a lot less in our home now too.
