Vet said DAC oil put weight on horse. Can I mix the Dac Oil with the Gut Cool Oil or is it same thing?
Answer by ChewyJan 16, 2021
We encourage speaking with your Veterinarian before combining supplements, for the safest opinion.

How many days does a 5 pound bucket treat the horse? Is it enough for one month?
Answer by ChewyMar 27, 2020
The maintenance dosage is to give 3-ounces per horse per day. For best results, provide dose 30-60 minutes prior to exercise. Dosing rate is based on 1,000-pound body weight. Dosage rate should be adjusted according to body weight. There is approximately 27 servings in the 5-pound bucket.

Has helped my 18 year-old arab

My gelding is prone to ulcers/gastic upset when in a stall. He had to be stalled following surgery to remove a mast cell tumor. We put him on a 21-day course of ranitidine. I put him on cool gut for maintenance--he has this daily with his other supplements and grain. 2 years later and he is still doing well.

LOVE DAC COOL GUT

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, took a minute to get my horse to eat it, had to grind it up at first and add it to my beet pulp, slowly added more and more and now she eats it.

works great

Cool gut works great! I was advised by my vet to keep my horse on it. She eats it no problem. She’s a 17 year old QH. I do mix it with her other supplements, but nothings left in her bin! I started feeding almost 1.5 years ago and since then there’s been no ulcer issues. My only complain, i do not like the new bag packaging. Bring back the plastic container.

OTTB owner

Disappointed, ingredients and price are just what we need, thought it would be a great alternative to the higher priced supplements, Unfortunately it is not palatable for my 5 year old OTTB who is not a terribly picky eater. He tried it and now will not touch the stuff even when mixed with grain or soaked alfalfa. Won’t even pick around it, opts not to eat at all when added to feed or alfalfa. Cannot use this product at all.
