It is safe for pets to groom themselves after use of the Davis Oatmeal Leave-On Conditioner when used as directed.

Can this be applied to dry cat fur and will it help untangle mats?

It's recommended to apply after shampooing and rinsing, apply conditioner over the entire coat. Do not get into the eyes. Massage thoroughly into the skin and coat. For best results, do not rinse.

I use a flea and tick shampoo on my Yorkie, if I use Davis oatmeal leave on dogs and cats conditioner would it counteract or stop the medication in the flea and tick shampoo from working?

Can this be used in place of regular conditioner or do you recommend in addition to?

This leave-on conditioner should be used after shampooing and rinsing in place of regular conditioner.

Systemic itching from dry skin

Ezra was having systemic itching from dry skin. I put him on Benadryl while I waited on this order which came quickly. I mixed the conditioner 3parts to 1 water

Ezra was having systemic itching from dry skin. I put him on Benadryl while I waited on this order which came quickly. I mixed the conditioner 3parts to 1 water and sprayed it over his hot spots and then radiated out from there. Within two days of applying this PRN his itching subsided (dramatically at first and then I was able to slowly ease up on the application).
