Provide relief from demodectic mange and conditions associated with seborrhea dermatitis with the Davis Benzoyl Peroxide Dog & Cat Shampoo. This unique formulation allows easier skin penetration than other shampoos, thanks to a more effective 1-to-3 micron-sized benzoyl peroxide powder. The 2.5% benzoyl peroxide is suspended in a deep cleansing, moisturizing base that aids in opening and flushing the hair follicles to help promote healing. There’s also natural moisturizing agents that hydrate the skin and coat, which aids in preventing dryness and irritation. This shampoo is ideal for conditions where a keratolytic vehicle may be beneficial, and is an excellent degreaser for problem coats.

Dermatitis Mange
By Reese on Jan 23, 2021
My 4 month old Doberman came down with a bad case of dermatitis mange. She has been on a 30 day flea pill as well as me washing her with this shampoo every other day for about a week and a half. I haven’t really started seeing her hair growing back until I started washing her with the shampoo. It has been officially a month since her first flea pill and while she is still in the healing process she is coming out on top looking amazing I highly recommend this shampoo

Good shampoo
By mariska on Jan 28, 2021
I bought to replace the unavailable Vetoquinol Benzoyl Plus shampoo. This contains almost the same formula. My miniature schnauzer gets the black bumps on his back and the shampoo helps with dissolving most of them. I bath him once a week and follow up with the conditioner. Leaving it on for at least 5 minutes and running a comb through the hair helps. Never let this get into his eyes and use a tearless shampoo for dogs for around the face.

Appears to be helpful to my pup
By SamfromCarolina on Jan 8, 2021
Davis Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo seems to help relieve my pup's itchy, yeasty smelling skin issues. The vet believes it is a food allergy. I have switched her to Merrick's grain free food-can, dry and treats and am refraining sharing my food with her. I give her a weekly bath with Johnson's baby shampoo, rinse and follow with the Davis Benzoyl Peroxide for 5 minutes. I feel this is really helping her. I will be ordering another bottle soon. Thanks Chewy!

Cleared up my dog's spots in no time!
By CCSoCal on Dec 19, 2020
Right in the middle of the worst surge of Covid-19, I discovered a lot of brown spots on my dog's chest and belly. I did not want to have to go to the Vet's office, but I called there anyway to ask for advice. They asked me to email them some pictures of the spots, which I did, and they advised me to try bathing him with a benzoyl peroxide shampoo. I found this one on Chewy's website and ordered it. Wow! It really got the job done in no time. I used it for 3 days in a row, and by the end of the 3rd shampoo, all the spots were gone, his coat was soft and shiny, and we were both very happy. Some of the folks who reviewed this on Chewy said they didn't like the smell. I kinda liked it. It smelled a little bleach-like and reminded me of freshly washed sheets from my childhood (back in the days when everyone used bleach on their cotton sheets). I will always keep at least one bottle of this shampoo around in case my guy gets a similar infection, and would recommend it to anyone. … more

Bensoyl Peroxide Shampoo Cures Feline Acne
By RichW on Jan 7, 2021
This is a great pet shampoo for clearing up feline acne. We had been using other products including chlorhexidine shampoo for pets (which is good for antibacterial and antifungal), but they weren't working. However, we've been washing Rocky's chin and lower lips for 8 days (once each day), and now on day 9 the feline acne is practically all cleared up. So grateful for this pet shampoo!

Awesome!!!
By Phindles on Nov 12, 2020
My poor dog has been suffering with waxy build up, developing into oozy sores and dandruff that smell like pennies. It’s been a struggle to find something that will work to make her comfortable. This shampoo has been exactly what we needed. We had to use it pretty aggressively (3 times/week) for a couple of weeks to get it under control. Now I alternate with this shampoo and an anti-fungal/antibacterial shampoo, for her weekly bath. I also added a spray skin conditioner and it seems to be working. Chewy is always awesome! Shipping is fast. Their customer service top notch.

Didn't help cat acne
By lulu on Jan 26, 2021
I bought this based off the positive reviews to treat my cat's chin acne. Disappointed it hasn't helped alleviate her blackheads.

Didn't work for my dog
By Indigo on Oct 4, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
Based on the largely glowing reviews of others, I bought this, along with another shampoo (which I used in tandem), in hopes of finally having a solution for my mini Schnauzer's allergic dermatitis. It calmed her skin for a day, but then she'd be right back scratching and chewing. I gave it two weeks, bathing her every three days and in the end I saw no improvement aside from (very) temporary relief. She has a seizure disorder so cannot be on the prescription medication commonly prescribed so I'm getting rather desperate at this point. I think I've tried every medicated shampoo for this condition Chewy (and its competitors) sell and nothing works for long.
