Does this clean city dirty paws or it's just for mud? I live in manhattan and after every walk I clean my dog paws with a wet towel cause they become black from the dirty streets of New York..

Answer by ChewyApr 10, 2018
This Cleaner will work for various conditions such as mud, sand, snow and general dirt and debris.

Would I have to be careful with getting the dew claw caught in this product?

Answer by ChewyMar 19, 2019
The bristles should not interfere with your dog's dewclaw. However, you should be careful not to get the dewclaw caught on the outside cleaner.

Is one enough for four muddy paws? By the time you get to the last paw, is the water really dirty? Just wondering if I should get 2 or even 4

Answer by ChewyNov 26, 2019
Customers have reported that a single MudBuster is sufficient for each pet.

How do you get your dog used to using it if they refuse to have their paws put in there?

Answer by ChewyJan 26, 2021
The easiest way to help a dog become comfortable with the MudBuster is to add some water into it, then let your dog simply see it and smell it first! Many dogs are drawn to the MudBuster when it is presented as “just for them,” and many dogs like to stick their snouts down into the tumbler in order to investigate. You still need to be able to take hold of their leg above the paw in order to guide the paw into the Mud Buster, similar to what you have to do to trim nails or wipe down paws with a towel. Once you can get past that initial hesitation, most dogs love the cleaning sensation of the soft yet firm silicone bristles.

I really wanted to love this. I'm exhausted constantly cleaning up all the dirt and mud my dog tracks in, and the concept is good. Unfortunately, the bristles aren't fine enough or packed densely enough to lift off thick mud. Even after sticking in my dog's paw and vigorously twisting the cup right and left and pushing it up and down to scrape off the mud, I have to use an old rag to scrape off what still remained. This product might work better for dogs with wide, spread feet. My whippet's paws are quite long and narrow, so the bristles just poked at her pads instead of scraping between and across them. It might also be better for people who are trying to rinse off muddy water clinging to fur rather than scraping off thick, clay-like mud caked around paw pads. Finally, adding some kind of lid would also make the product a bit more portable so that a seperate water bottle wouldn't need to be carried

We think he is a malamute/samoyed mix - long hair that tangles easy, he is about 50 lbs and has much bigger paws than my femail siberian husky. But, I can get the mud off front AND back because I got the large. It rinses out easy but some dirt always stays in the bottom but overall, really easy to use and get paws clean before coming inside

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be useful or one of those things that just ends up not being used but this has been a godsend! We usually wipe their feet with a towel from they come in from the outdoors but this really cleans without traumatizing my dogs with a hose when they get really muddy. And even when their paws don’t like look too dirty, the color of the water after using this tells me otherwise. So easy to use and doesn’t freak them out. I love this Mudbuster!

My father in law installed a huge sandbox in our backyard the week before we brought our boxer puppy home. As expected, she is always digging and coming in the house covered in sand. This is the only way I can get her paws completely clean. She loves it too! She sits and hands me her paws when she sees me get it out.

Works!

Used this to treat a sore paw pad. After a few uses, my dog would put his foot in on his own. It worked perfectly for soaking and cleaning off his paw.

Clean feet

I think it’s too big for my dog. I can’t seem to get it to work properly. Half my dog’s leg goes inside. It’s awkward for both of us.

Great for muddy paws

We keep this by our back door. Our dog gets mud caked in her webbed feet. This helps clean them really well.
