My dogs have 2 1/2" paws but they get mud up to their elbows. I noticed the large it taller, so wouldn't that be better for my dogs? I know I should have the medium size, but I want to know if I got the large would the bristles still touch and clean the paws?

The Large would work the same. The bristles should still touch and clean the paws.
Does this clean city dirty paws or it's just for mud? I live in manhattan and after every walk I clean my dog paws with a wet towel cause they become black from the dirty streets of New York..

This Cleaner will work for various conditions such as mud, sand, snow and general dirt and debris.
Would I have to be careful with getting the dew claw caught in this product?

The bristles should not interfere with your dog's dewclaw. However, you should be careful not to get the dewclaw caught on the outside cleaner.
Does this help with salt on the ground? He gets irritated by salt from winter snow.

mud buster portable dog paw cleaner

We carefully measured our dog's paws and ordered what we thought was the correct size. However, it's too small to be effective - I suggest ordering the next larger size when ordering.

Efficient Paw Cleaner

The Mudbuster works so well! So glad I purchased 2, for the house, and auto. Many pounds of sand not getting inside my home. Love the dishwasher feature. Gentle on the paws, even feels good, (according to my dog).

Dog Paw Cleaner

This has worked really well. I started my dog with a few dry test runs, then switched to water. She doesn't fight this at all but does look a little horrified LOL. Easy to take apart and clean.

Amazing!

I don't write reviews often but this was such a great buy! Much faster and easier way to get the dog paws clean! Especially when it's the only thing that really needs cleaning! I just use some warm water and soap, and if he's kinda standing in it I'll twist and then just try to keep the dirty parts scrubbed closer to the side of the tube.

Best dog invention ever

I am so thrilled someone invented this dog paw washer! I have an Australian shepherd who is 70lbs.and loves to fly off the back deck into mud with his big furry paws! This Dexas Midbuster has saved me from much frustration. With wet & dry towels before this paw washer, I could never get all the mud out of his paws and legs. This miracle washer has solved all my problems like that. I dip his paw and leg, in and out a few times of the warm soapy water I put in, and then dry with a towel.The soft rubber bristles inside of it, scrub the mud out. The dog doesn’t mind at all. I highly recommend this. The price is also very reasonable, and well worth it. I told my friend who’s dog has longer legs, and she got a taller one.

Easy Peary Clean Paws

Grabbed this to help get paws clean during mud season in the mountains after walks - especially to help with trying to heal some issues my boy was having with infections between his toes. Amazing how dirty the water is after doing just one paw. Think this will be an outside job though since paws come out pretty wet and then need to be dried. Still easier than trying to get paws clean with a wet towel. Glad we purchased for our yellow lab. Showed the neighbors and they got one for their doodle. Works on her too although everything sticks to her fur and the tube could even come up a little higher to get her whole leg!

Works great!

This thing is fantastic and works wonderfully! My dog seems to not mind me using this as much as just wiping with a towel (and it's easier). Though, I still have to dry his feet with a towel.

Mudbuster

My husband ordered this for our dog, she is ALWAYS digging and has muddy paws. She is skidish about almost every thing, but she let mevput her paws right into the Mud buster and it worked very well. Happy with this purchase.

Great tool

I wipe my dog’s paws every time after walk and it takes some time, you know. This tool is a time saver! So easy to use and easy to clean after. It washes pretty good. Of paws are really dirty after mud, I still wash it by hands, but for all other cases I use this cleaner.
