Transition Instructions

Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.

  • For sensitive dogs, extend the period to 10 to 14 days.

    My Bulldog loves it!

    By on

I inherited a senior English Bulldog who came to me with sores all over his body. His previous owners said he had allergies and that they couldn't figure it out. I cut out grains first with no luck. I finally tried cutting out potatoes and he's actually most reactionary to sweet potatoes! So I am very thankful for this food. He loves it and his skin looks great.

    Paisley loves it

She has food allergies and when we found out we switched her to this food. She loves it and her appetite has changed completely. I think she feels better after only a week and her poop looks better already.

    Solved our dog's skin allergy

    By on

We don't know what our pup is allergic to but we switched to Diamond Care Sensitive Skin Formula and it seems to have taken care of her skin allergies. In addition, her poop is a better consistency than with previous food.

    Good ingredients

    By on

As for itchiness. Didn't help. Pits are sensitive and needed medicine from the vet. Which did help. But it has no grains and poultry in the diamond care I get and my baby loves it. Its the ingredients I love.Idk if any food will help his itchy skin issues.

Not working to calm skin issues

    By on

Tried this food to reduce skin redness and itching for my foster pittie but it is not working. She seems even rashier and itchy. There just must be something that could help her, but I have not yet found it! She does love the food more than most she has been on and transition was easy over 2 weeks

    Great dog food

    By on

Takes about a month for your pet to start to show the full benefits from this dog food. But this food has helped my grump ole basset/beagle mix with her skin and allergy issues.

My pup is a little picky!

    By on

Decent price and I always prefer limited ingredients so my Jimmy is staying healthy! However, he doesn't seem to like the flavor as much as some. I think it is the peas in the mixture. I bought a salmon and pea mixture once in the past and he seemed to have the same reaction.

    Good value

My dog has many food allergies, and this food seems to be making him less itchy. He likes it, and the cost...while high...is manageable.

    No more itchy skin!

    By on

I got my dog back in November. He was constantly scratching himself. It got to the point that he was bleeding. He was already on a grain free diet with another brand. A groomer recommended that I try this dog food out. Within a week his skin was so much better! Over the course of the month his coat started to change as well. I highly recommend this dog food.
