Very sturdy!

This item is incredibly sturdy. I almost wonder if I could use it as a step stool It is so sturdy. My cats are an absolute glory with it. It is worth every penny

This item is incredibly sturdy. I almost wonder if I could use it as a step stool It is so sturdy. My cats are an absolute glory with it. It is worth every penny spent and then some. I bought a backup for when the original goes out, but here I am 6 months later still using the original. I highly recommend this scratcher. (Also very large. Don't let the photos scare you. That cat is a chonker!)

Obsessed

While it’s absurd to spend $90 on a cardboard box, she’s obsessed with it. It’s cute quiet and larger than I thought. Two cats fit in it, albeit a bit snugly.

So cute!

Cats love it!

This is surprisingly sturdy for cardboard. I did spray it with a bit of catnip to attract them. Tiger Lily now uses it for her bed.

Our big cat LOVES this scratcher. He went straight to it and set to scratching it the moment it was taken out of its wrapping and set down on the floor. Now it's his go-to spot for lounging (while watching bird videos), napping, and, of course, scratching. Long enough for a good stretchy scratch! Very sturdy. Holds our twenty pound cat. Spendy but worth it.

I've bought many scratchers over the years but my cat by far prefers this sardine can. He scratches them heartily and loves relaxing inside. I've bought several, including for relatives' houses where he visits, and to replace it when it's finally worn down. I like that the sardine can is two-sided but I wish both sides could be right side up. Once the top is worn, you can turn it upside down so the bottom is now the top and thus fresh for scratching - but then the sardine logo is upside down. (At least based on where it's placed in our house, where only one side faces the room and the other side is against the couch.)

I have purchased this item in the past before. The cats love it and use it. Although the price has gone up, it is still worth the purchase. It is what I call heavy duty and not flimsy at all. If one uses it on hardwood floors, I would recommend placing a throw rug with rubber backing on the rug to keep it from sliding on the hardwood when the cat or cats use it.
