Naturally occurring Paramagnetic igneous rock.
When placed in water, Dog Rocks will help to purify the water by removing some nitrates, ammonia and harmful trace elements through it’s micro-porous medium thereby giving your dog a cleaner source of water and lowering the amount of nitrates found in their diet. This in turn lowers the amount that is expelled in their urine. Dogs do produce nitrates as a by-product from the protein in their diet, but the difference between too much nitrate that will kill grass and the amount of nitrate that will be good for it is very small.
If you have ordered a 200g pack you will get 2 or 3 rocks, the size of a small child’s fist. If you have ordered a 600g pack you should get between 6-8 rocks. Dog Rocks are naturally mined, we cant regulate their size more than we already do so but if you are at all unsure, just contact us on hello@podiumpetproducts.com as we are 100% here to help.
A You will need 100g per 1 liter of water or 200g per 2 litres. If your water bowl is big and you regularly top it up through out the day its best to have 1 x 200g pack of Dog Rocks in a pitcher of water and another in your pet’s water bowl but remember the ratio, 100g Dog Rocks to 1 litre of water. Every dog, household and situation is different but that’s the rule of thumb.
Yes, we have customers who use Dog Rocks with pet water fountains very successfully as the it is the same water, it is just being pumped round in a cycle. If you are worried about the results, you could place the rocks in a jug and decant water from there to your fountain.
Dog Rocks are 100% natural and will not change the pH balance of your dog’s urine, so they will not harm your dog at all. Please make sure you follow the directions of use.
Dog Rocks act like a sponge or a filter; they reach their saturation point after this period and are no longer able to absorb any more impurities.
Dog Rocks take just 8-10 hours to start working in the water. After 8-10 hours no new burn patches will occur….however it won’t fix the old spots! With proper lawn maintenance you will see vast improvements in 5 weeks. You won’t see any difference in the rock when it’s working.
Yes, Dog Rocks are suitable for dogs of all ages. Dog Rocks are 100% natural and will not change the pH balance of your dog’s urine, so they will not harm your dog at all.

These are soooo expensive and do not work I still have dead grass all over the lawn. No way of knowing when they are expired. So I keep adding more to the water dish. Still no help. Started using when we ordered new sod and there are brown spots everywhere. I don't understand how anyone can write a good review???
I was skeptical but desperate so I gave these a try. They do work. Consistency is key. -The water must have time to work so I bought two sets of rocks so I can stay ahead of the process. I have two pitchers that I use to let the water soak, I do not put the rocks directly in their bowl, mine would eat them:( -All water sources must be from water that has been “treated”, for lack of a better word, with the rocks. When pups would drink from their doggie pool or we would get lazy and fill a bowl from hose we started noticing yellowing spots again. -A previous reviewer suggested to bust the rocks up more towards the end of their “life” to get extended use out of them. Once again, skeptical, but I did and it works. The rocks are super hard so be careful. I covered in a thick towel, used safety goggles and did it outside. Pups do not seem to notice any difference in the “treated” water vs tap.
I have 2 80 lbs dogs. Have new lawn on the drain field. Dogs love to pee on the new lawn resulting in brown patches. Very frustrating. Been using the rocks for a month now and it works for us. No new dead patches of grass! I was skeptical that the rocks would work as advertised, but for us it does work. I have recommended the rocks to all my dog owning friends. Give it a try.
We didn’t use these long enough to find out if they actually worked for the lawn because after the first day we noticed the water that she drips on the floor left bleach marks. I didn’t feel comfortable letting our dog drink something that contains some sort of bleaching agent.
We have three 40lbs golden doodle and the back yard was awful with dead spots. So what the hell gave it a try. It took a while over, a month before I believed it was the rocks . All three drink out of the same bowl, city water and it works for me. B
We have 3 pups and our lawn takes a beating, dog rocks work. My husband made fun of me for buying these, but after seeing the results he was SOLD!! Now, he wants more.
Just bought my first home and within the first few weeks noticed grass dying in patches. Soon realized this was from my dog. A friend recommended these and while I was extremally skeptical I am pleased to report they actually work. No more dead spots. Instead now where my dog urinate they are greener and grow quicker (all about the nitrate levels). Would highly recommend giving these a go if you are having issues. They say to change them out every few months. I have only been using them for a few weeks so not sure on how long they last but hopefully a pack a summer works.
These rocks don’t work. I had them for 2 months now and it doesn’t help. I keep 2 bowls of water on my counter with 1 rock in each over night and keep switching them after my dogs drink them during the day. The dogs won’t drink the water with a rock in the bowl. And I always have the bowls on my counter and drives me crazy. I even give them the green treats everyday but it’s not stopping the brown grass spots everywhere. I’m going to try a different green grass treat.
Yes! They work! Very happy with product & it purifies your dogs water.
Within 24hrs of using these rocks my dog became very ill with bloody diarrhea. Immediately after removing them from the water dish, her symptoms stopped.
