Is it good for cherry eye?

Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2018
This product acts like natural tears to protect, soothe, and moisten. We encourage consulting your Veterinarian to see what would be the best option for your pet. Each pet's condition can vary and the vet will be able to monitor them and give the best recommendations according to your pet's tested levels.

Both Optixcare Dog & Cat Eye Lube Lubricating Gel (Blue) and Optixcare Dog & Cat Eye Lube Plus Lubricating Gel (Pink) contain 20 grams of product, which translates to roughly .70 ounces.

Our FIV cat is prone to eye ulcers, requiring twice daily application of an eye lubricants. This Lubricant works great as a standalone treatment or layering with an antibiotic cream. I appreciate that it doesn't "gunk up" in the corner of the eye and is easy to apply. This product is a must have in my animal first aid/med kit.

My cat has an eye condition, most likely the cat herpes virus. These drops(gel form) help his eye to not dry out. They are easier than drops because I put some on my index finger and hold him while I try to open his eyelids and put it in. Usually it works fine !

My pup got cataract surgery, and with dry eyes from diabetes. Her ophthalmologist prescribed this ointment and along with other eye medication to keep her eyes from dying out since she developed ulcer in both eyes from dry eyes. This medication is definitely cheaper on Chewy then at the vet.

Relieve the dryness in her eyes.

Chewy delivered quickly! Relieved the uncomfortable dry eye syndrome she has, made her more comfortable, took most of redness away. Definitely would recommend.

This is really helping remove the redness that I started noticing in Oliver’s left eye. His eye started developing something that looks like a cataract. My vet called it something I cannot remember and said it’s very common in pugs. “Show me a pug without ______condition”. He didn’t prescribe anything. But I noticed the whites of his getting red. So I tried other eye drops and he hated them. After a couple of uses, he had me figured out and would make an escape, everytime. But this is a gel like consistency and he doesn’t seem to mind at all. I put him on his back(like when I wash his wrinkles), he’s relaxed and just lets me put a single drop in. Works great and now the white of his eye is white again.

Again recommended by our vet, Optixcare works so well here in the dry, dusty Southwest. Both Venus & Serena are long-haired cats suffering from allergic reactions to our dust storms. They seemed to have runny eyes constantly. Both Boxers have large eyes effected by the dust in the air. All 4 fur-babes improved after just a few applications. Now it's less-frequent applications are needed and it's nice to see they aren't blinking or rubbing their eyes. Not seeing tear-stained faces is a bonus!
