    No go on this product

    By on

Personally, this product didn't work and I had to go with a prescription based product that Chewy offered as well. I applied it as instructed and my dog's reaction didn't go well. His eye actually got worse with redness and more itching. I stopped it's use immediately and went back to warm, moist compresses until the other prescription arrived. Once stopping his eye got better. The other script based product is working much better now. Marked improvement.

My dog has dry eye and sometimes needs something between his meds and eye wash. This fills the gap beautifully!

    Optix care with Hyaluronic Acid

    By on

The Optixcare with Hyaluronic acid seems to work much better for my older pug. Since you were out of stock a few weeks ago, I had to order plain Optixcare. He has the worst case of dry eye I have ever seen. Please let me know when it’s in stock again! Thanks, Mary

Both my dogs suffer from dry eye as they age. They are on Optimmune, but the Optixcare helps with retaining moisture way better that artificial tears.

Best option for dogs with eye issues

    By on

Optixcare was prescribed for my dog by Texas A&M following proton radiation therapy to her head for a nasal cancer. The radiation affected her tear ducts. While they told me I could use human products such as Genteal, having dry eye myself I know how expensive those products are (usually $10+ for a quarter of an ounce) I decided to check chewy to see if they had this. Very happy to find it non-prescription. Works great, easy to dispense and a fraction of the cost of the human products -- chewy comes through again!

    Did what I needed

    By on

My 12 year old golden retriever was just diagnosed with “dry eye” and no longer effectively produces his own tears. I’ve been using this 2-3 times a day and it has worked really well to keep him comfortable! No more running his face into the ground.

Didn’t seem to work at all

    By on

I bought this because the eye lubrication I usually order for my dog was recalled by the manufacturer and the reviews seemed to be good. It doesn’t seem to work for my dog though. His eye started to get dry about an hour after I applied it. Maybe it did work for other people, but I can’t recommend this product. I squirted some onto my finger just to see what it looked like and it was like a gel for like a second then became like water but quickly it started to dry up on my finger, which didn’t seem like a good sign to me. I know it’s meant for eyes so it’s probably going to react differently on skin, but like I said before I would have to reapply frequently just so my dogs eye wouldn’t go dry I bought this because the eye lubrication I usually order for my dog was recalled by the manufacturer and the reviews seemed to be good. Disappointed

    By on

I had high hopes for this product. It didn’t help my dog’s dry eye at all. Besides, the container is difficult to manage without dispensing too much and making a mess.

    Makes cleaning the eyes easy

    By on

I use this every evening for my poodle. It helps to take off the black gook in the corner of her eyes. No more build-up.
