I've owned large dogs for decades and have used the basic metal crates during the puppy years. I now have an older GSD that is having surgery and will be crate restricted for weeks so I looked for something more comfortable with larger access for me to reach in and care for my girl. I found it in this DogGoods crate. The top and two sides zip open for easy access, plus the screens an be easily secured out of your way. There is a builtin water bottle holder which is easily accessed from the exterior of the crate side. To top it off, the crate easily collapses and has a bag with shoulder strap to carry it. This crate is more expensive than the metal crates, but I think the many features plus solid construction make it a great investment.
We needed some thing for when we traveled. Perfect for a 65 pound girl. She loves it!
I love it! Zoey & Zephyr love it! I purchased the XL to fit 2 Standard Poodle puppies for their inside the home FORTRESS. It is attractive and love the 2 sided zipper openings. Too bad one of the inside plastic roof side tubes snapped off the end that clamps into the other top plastic tube as I attempted to open it up and attach it. I probably used too much force when maneuvering the side roof plastic tube to its place; nevertheless it snapped at a vulnerable end and that demonstrates it is not sturdy enough. Despite the broken side tube it still is usable as the other 3 tubes keep the roof up. I love it enough to keep it for indoor use as is with 1 out of 4 broken roof support plastic tubes. The puppies play in it and seem to enjoy it. They do not show interest in chewing it. If you purchase, be gentle and cautious with unfolding the roof plastic tube structures into place.
This crate was just what I was looking for! I spent quite a bit of time looking for a fabric, travel-friendly crate but was disappointed by the options. I wanted something with side and front entrance, curtains, a metal frame, and not ugly! Many crates had some, but not all, of these options. This crate is pretty sturdy and has a nice look. My only critique is that there’s two pieces of Velcro on the inside of the mesh door when the crate is closed which could be a good grabbing point if chewed, and make a hole in the door. My dog noticed them but has mostly left them alone thus far. I have an Aussie and chose the XL. It’s spacious, but the large was just a tad too short for her, and I like her to have more room. Would definitely recommend this crate if you’re looking for a sturdy, well made option that also looks nice!
The netting is okay can easily be torn if nails on dog are long. My 6 month old puppy didn't have a issue but wasn't in there long. We also had it up in the house before we went away and went in there on his own. Although he did get out by moving the zippers we put a little lanyard lock on it so he couldn't put got out a different side. So would would put a lock on the sides and leave the top open. If your pup is in there for an extended period of time
Works great. Easy to travel with. Folds up nicely, light weight and comes with bag to carry it in. My puppy loves it just as much as his metal sided one.
Just bought this a month ago and one of the two arms that props the top up broke the first time I took the crate down. I was able to duct tape it back together, only to have the second one break off the second time I took it down. I was very careful both times (especially the second time after the first arm broke!), but it is just very cheaply made and not strong enough for the XL size of crate. Would not recommend.
Finally a quality product. Easy to assemble and store. A perfect travel crate for the back of my Outback and plenty of room for the 2 Papillon pups. Purchased the large so they both can have room on a long trip. MUCH less expensive and better quality than the one Subaru sells. Canvas is sturdy, and lots of screening for viewing. Also a pocket for a sippy water bottle. (purchase separately). Thank you DogGoods.
Our miniature dachshunds LOVE their DogGoods travel crate. They sleep contently in it on long road trips and at bedtime. It's their safe space and will climb right in as soon as we sit it on the floor. The locking clips on the zipper openings ensure they can't paw their way out and the blackout shade covers are a game changer when it's quiet time. We actually have several crates, the medium is great for both of them to sleep together, and the small is perfect for just one of them. The crates are lightweight, yet durable and fold down easily for storage in the included carry bag. They can fit a variety of crate pads too, which we always carry spares with us just in case.
Very easy to assemble and fold again. Lightweight, but very solid. Pup loves it!
