Very happy with this product so far. Have had no problems with set up and use at home and on the go. I've paired to my LGV40 with no problems. Accuracy seems good. I'm training our dog to come to me when he hears me send the beep tone to his collar via the remote. The three various fence options are great also. Very happy with this product with regard to accuracy and not having a subscription monthly. I would love it if the antenna was smaller and not so inviting to chew on. It's not terrible, but a little cumbersome to have the receiver with me also but I'd gladly do that versus pay a monthly subscription which seems to be the trade off. Overall very happy with this, hoping the longevity is good and we will have it for years to come.
so the app does not track your dog and the electronic fence does NOT work unless you have the big remotr paired to your phone at all times. basically it's only good for hunting dogs and nothing else. I got a $100 tracker for my other dog that is more useful, I guess I will order another one of those. I'm returning this, it's got cool features but none of them work unless your phone is next to the big remote at all times.
As an avid pheasant hunter, I have been using Dogtra's collar systems for a while now, Dogtra has made significant advancements in their collar systems that have greatly improved my hunting experience. Initially, I was hesitant about upgrading to the Pathfinder2, as I believed the original Pathfinder had everything I needed. However, after using the Pathfinder2 for some time, I can confidently say that it is more tailored to my specific needs and has more customizable functions than the original. One of the most significant improvements Dogtra made to the Pathfinder2 is the addition of three excellent features on the collar itself: a recall beep, vibrate, and collar lights. Additionally, they added a function button on the transmitter that allows me to choose between different functions such as recall beep, stimulate, turn on collar lights, or a vibrate function, without having to turn on my phone. I primarily use the recall beep function, which my dog has been trained to respond to. I also find that pairing the Pathfinder2 with a smartwatch makes it the best system on the market for me. If you are considering upgrading your collar system, I highly recommend the Pathfinder2. It has made a significant difference in my hunting experience, and I'm confident it will do the same for you.
I had the original Pathfinder and liked it so much that I upgraded to the Pathfinder2. The dog collars have new LED lights on them and the GPS connector has an e-collar function button and locate tone. This is great for outdoors when your dogs are not leashed since you I can track them on both my iPhone and Apple watch. The app does not require a subscription and has offline maps if you are in a remote area with no cell service. Highly recommend this product as it has so many uses.
We got this collar for our escape artist husky who LOVES being off leash but has iffy recall on the best of days. The app makes it convenient to track him when he jail breaks, and there's no monthly fee! 4 months so far with no complaints! My husband also loves orange, so this was a no-brainer for us.
First I will say amazing I can see my dogs at all times wow no subscription fee I can go anywhere and know where I am and my dogs are. Love the geo fence. The fact I can record runs and review is a awesome feature as well
I had a problem once, but has been resolved perfectly after replacement. Super helpful customer service.
First. Chewy supports what they sell. My experience is the system chewed through my phone battery rapidly. I was dealing with that, but the collar quit working after second time in the duck blind. Chewy made it right.
it is not easy to setup and e-fence not easy to setup also. I have used other systems and they work better than this. the only reason i tried this system is because it had the training feature
The collar kept on losing radio frequency from 10 feet away. I called the company and they said they would have a tech call me back and it never happened. Sending it back! Bad news, don't buy!
