Dogtra Tom Davis Edition 280C 2.0 1/2 Mile Waterproof Vibration & Tone Remote Dog Training Collar, one-size, Green/Yellow

I originally ordered the 280c but didn't realize that it didn't have a tone only option or the stimulation lock.. I returned it and got this one. I like that I can adjust the collar with the buckle with the holes once, then just use the plastic clasp to take it on and off (this model does not have the bungee collar). I wanted the option to have a tone so I don't always need to use the electrical buzz function. Initially, I wasn't sure the collar was working properly. I wondered whether I needed different contacts. I was using it in addition to a prong collar. I determined that the prong collar was making the e-collar move around and I wasn't getting good contact with the e-collar. I exchanged the prong collar for a regular flat collar and put the e-collar high on my dog's neck and now it works consistently. Also, I soon realized that the lock function isn't that useful since I am constantly varying the stimulation level depending on how strong the external distractions are. The collar has made a tremendous difference in improving my shepherd-husky mix's recall within a few days. My dog is happy to see the e-collar because it means he's going on a fun leash-free adventure.
