The Duralactin Feline Capsules Cat Supplement is meant to inhibit body chemicals from participating in the inflammatory response and can be used as a nutritional aid for short or long term management of inflammatory conditions. However, if your pet has a diagnosed condition, consulting your vet before introducing a new supplement is recommended.

Is the milk protein hydrolized?

This supplement does not contain hydrolyzed milk protein. Duralactin Feline contains MicroLactin, an exclusive dried milk protein concentrate derived from hyperimmunized cows that contains factors that appear to block cytokines and help manage neutrophil participation to support a healthy and normal inflammatory response. If your pet may have a specific health concern, we recommend consulting your Veterinarian to see what would be the safest fit for your pets current treatment plan.

Does this product thin the blood like NSAIDs?

There is no NSAID adverse event profile, since much the same efficacy profile as NSAIDs are seen but the action happens by a different mechanism. Microlactin exhibits a very selective mechanism by blocking cytokines that contribute to the perpetuation of inflammation.

Does this product contain lysine?

This supplement doesn't contain lysine. Duralactin also offers the Feline L-lysine Cat Supplement, which does.

Gave this to my cat for just over a week. It seemed okay for a few days, but eventually she would vomit her food immediately after eating with the Duralactin. She isn't lactose intolerant, as she gets a couple of pinches of cheese weekly and doesn't have a problem. However, with Duralactin, her stomach heaves and she vomits her food. I was hoping it would help with her head and ear itching, but once again...nothing helps her. I have stopped giving this product to her.

Easy to mix with food pleasant taste

If this stuff works for your cat it is really easy to give as it has a pleasant taste like milk so mixed in a small amount of wet food they eat it right down. The

If this stuff works for your cat it is really easy to give as it has a pleasant taste like milk so mixed in a small amount of wet food they eat it right down. The only con is it doesn’t seem to help all cats. I have had older cats with arthritis that it really helped and some it didn’t. I like that it is natural so certainly worth trying if you have a pet with inflammatory condition like arthritis. My son’s older cat has severe arthritis and it made a big difference in his walking ability.
