The Litter Cats Love

Dr. Elsey’s believes litter can be loved—by cats and their owners. They’re on a mission to help keep cats in loving homes by providing proven, veterinarian-formulated solutions.

They Speak for Cats

Dr. Elsey’s puts heart, soul, and science into every product to solve the complex needs of pets. Every problem calls for a solution, whether it’s bringing a fussy cat back to the box, keeping paws free of dust, or fueling pets’ ancestral dietary needs.

Bring Your Cat Back to the Box

A problem cat is one who chooses not to use the litter box. There are three likely causes: medical ailments, territorial marking, or behavioral issues. Cat Attract helps fight litter box aversion and bring cats back with a natural herb blend.

About Dr. Elsey’s

Dr. Elsey’s is a veterinarian-owned brand dedicated to meeting the complex needs of cats. Founded in 1987 with the first all-natural clumping cat litter, their line has since grown to include a variety of products for cats at every stage of life.

I've used another brand for years (and still do) but thought I'd try this based on an attractive promotional price. I give it a nod over my other brand because the pine scent is slighly more evident in Dr Elsey's. My cats prefer pine pellet litter versus clumping litter and I prefer less tracking. I recommend this brand but, as is the case with all pine pellet litter, you have to adjust the amount you put into the boxes as it 'grows' as it's used; if you're careful with the amount used, this 40lb bag lasts a good while.

I am a long time user of pine pellet for my cat Basil, this one is just not it. It had a very weird smell to it that he did not enjoy at all and also was incredibly dusty and I ended up changing litter every three days as opposed to four (with multiple daily scoopings of course). Basil is really not very picky typically but he just really did not enjoy this and I’ve had better luck with the frisco brand

I just want to put a five star review here because I see a lot of people had a similar problem that I had and left a poor It’s not the products fault just so you know my bag of kitty litter also showed up split open and I was very upset about it, but it was a single bag in a box with no padding and obviously was mishandled during transport so it’s not the kitty litter‘s fault not company‘s fault I would hope that they would down the road change their packaging so that that’s not possible. Another thing I wanted to point is that I had no idea in my 54 years have I ever had to slowly introduce one of my cats to a different kitty litter How wrong I was and I struggled with that and I was very upset about it and I contacted them directly. They were phenomenal with They even sent me something to help me attract my cat to the kitty litter. Anyway, as far as the Pine kitty litter is concerned I thinkit’s pretty freaking amazing. There’s no smell. I do have to get a better scooper otherwise right now I’m just using doggy bags to pick up the poop, but as soon as thatcat pees in it, it turns the kitty litter into dust and when it becomes more dust than pellets that’s when it’s time to take it out and replace it. There’s zero tracking if you’re looking for zero tracking this is it and that’s really what drove me crazy was the tracking of kitty litter.I used to use world’s best cat litter which I do like but the tracking was driving me insane now there’s less smell no tracking and just want to recommend if you’re going from a clay or a grass or a corn kitty litter. Use the attractant. I wish it said it right in the listing get attracted for it or make sure you transition to this kitty litter using your old kitty litter. OK that’s all I have to say thank you all very much.

While I am not completely disappointed with this litter, I was originally hoping to purchase a 40 lb bag of Feline Pine from Chewy. I was not able to find it in stock, so settled for this brand instead. It's not as good as Feline Pine - breaks apart rapidly after a cat uses it. It also does not smell as good as Feline Pine before usage occurs. Please try to stock a 40 lb bag of Feline Pine for customers.

Love this litter!

I found out about this pine litter for Cat when a friend donated hers because her cat had passed away. This 40 pounds lasted a year at least and kept odor completely

I found out about this pine litter for Cat when a friend donated hers because her cat had passed away. This 40 pounds lasted a year at least and kept odor completely controlled, not to mention that it meant cleaning the litter box much less frequently. I could not find this product in local stores and was delighted to find Chewy handling it.

My cat is sooooooo picky, but he has loved this litter!

I thought the pellets would be smaller. I was disappointed at first because I thought my cat would hate them. He has done just fine and there has been no smell
