My dog has been licking his paws for quite awhile. I called Chewy and they suggested this ointment. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and he doesn’t seem to be in as much distress.

My dog has a pretty bad flea rash because he’s allergic, even though he doesn’t have fleas. I couldn’t find anything that works & I have tried everything. I love that this medication stays on even if he licks, the package even says “lickable” lol. Squeezed right out into my hand and is very easy to work into the skin. It feels like an oatmeal face mask. He seems very soothed, I will leave a comment on this review in about a week with an update on if it continues to soothe him!

Tried this on our new Weim..he has these little bumps under his chin & vet said it’s like doggy acne lol so I tried this and he hasn’t been scratching at it!
This salve is the best!

Finally found an ointment that provides relief for my cat's hotspots. Hope to find the source of his allergies but in the meantime this is helping immensely. It's truly been a godsend.
Suggestion: Put tube in a warm spot to heat contents before using so product comes out easily.
Thx Dr Maggie!

Wonderful product! I wish I had found this months ago as it's the ONLY product that has helped my cats flea rash. Thank you!
Helps prevent hot spots.

We’ve tried a lot of things to stop my dog Maggie’s itching, but I jokingly told my wife we’ve got to try Dr. Maggie’s lotion. It seemed like kismet. It has worked well. It’s thick, so a bit of a challenge to work down to the skin. I rub it in well and then brush the area with a bath brush or comb to spread it around. I will be buying more with regularity.

I purchased Dr. Maggie Skin Care Ointment Pet Supplement because it sounded like a fantastic combination of ingredients, but everything about it was absolutely difficult - when I removed the seal, which was super difficult, a plastic film remained behind that I had to end-up poking w/a fork, and even after I got that seal off, the product was so thick and hard, that I had to push on it w/all of my weight w/the tube on the counter to get a very small amount out of the tube, even when I warmed it slightly. This product is not usable in the tube, it should be in a jar. I don't recommend it.
Potentially very useful

One of my cats has developed sores on her head and I got this to see if it would help them heal. I do think it helped a bit, but unfortunately her brother keeps licking if off so I can't verify how effective it is. The only real negative thing about it is that it is extremely hard to get the ointment out of the tube as it is very thick. Once I do get it out I have to rub it between my fingers to get it soft enough to apply without globs. I will keep trying to use it because I do think the potential for it helping is worth it.

It's making a difference. My cat & I both like the natural ingredients. Only challenge has been getting it out of the tube. I keep the thermostat low in my house. This ointment (like the coconut oil I use) has hardened. I need to find just the right place to store it. I wish it was sold in a jar instead of a tube.
A staple item for the community cats in my care!

I manage a community cat colony on my street that has gone through the city TNR programme and this has been an invaluable contribution to treating their many nicks and dents endured from life on the streets. It is amazing for speeding up healing on open sores and I often use it to treat allergies to insect bites on the cats' noses, allowing me to focus medical funds on more serious issues. If you do this kind of community work or rescue, I definitely recommend keeping some of this on hand!
