What health conditions are these monitoring?

These pads feature a color-changing layer to help monitor your pup’s health using the pH levels found in the urine. Red (high acidity) is a sign of dehydration, kidney disease, metabolic acidosis, or UTL. Orange indicates a normal pH and healthy, well-balanced urine. Blue (high alkalinity) is a sign of metabolic alkalosis, bladder issues, chronic kidney disease, ore other concerns.

Will this work if a cat pees on the pad?

Yes—these pads work for cats. The color-change print is pH-sensitive, so it reacts to feline urine just like canine urine. However, since cats’ urine tends to be a bit more acidic on average, the baseline color might skew toward the “acidic” side, but the pad will still show a clear shift if pH moves more alkaline (e.g., with a UTI or diet change). This is a visual cue only, not a diagnostic test.

Inexpensive but not leak proof.

If you choose these be aware that the pads themselves leak through to floor. I had to double them for the purpose intended.

Stood the test

Jr. Isn’t a small dog. He’s 7 and getting bigger!! This brand can withstand a pit bull that is huge and provides extra pad space! So far no leaks !

Saw nothing in the monitoring area and left with a wet floor

These were a disappointment to me. There was no color, but the blue color of the wet plastic. I biggest complaint I have is that they leaked like a sieve. Why did

Not the best

You will be changing these out every time your dogs pee or poo they don’t hold much at all and if you are gone all day you will come back to a mess

Absorbancy - no odor

This item was great for my one year old puppy that has the occasional accident as well as my senior cat. No odor and easy to switch out.
