Provide clean, fresh water at all times.
I was apprehensive getting this food because the price is a bit more than I’m comfortable spending. Our red heeler loves this food! He genuinely licks his bowl clean. We have 3 other dogs we have to guard away from his bowl because they get other food. He has a sensitive stomach & had no issues switching to this and staying on it.
We are finding out that our dog is allergic to a lot of other dog foods. We bought the Salmon recipe and are very happy with the initial results. We have only been using the food for a couple of weeks, but so far our dog loves it. She bugs us to feed her by nosing us and then nosing her food dish way before it's time to eat. Her gut health seems to have improved, and that is a major improvement.
My one year old golden doodle was tired of puppy food so I ventured to try Dr Pol he loved it right away and I am pleased with the recipe the recipe Dr Pol created for better health results for a growing pup. Thank you Dr Pol and Thank you Chewy
My pups are half Doberman and Pit. Their skin is sensitive and one tends to have really stinky paws. Decided to give this grain-free option a try and either I’m getting used to the paw stench or this is helping?! Pups could care less about the food as they will hold out as long as they can before gobbling it down. Also food odor is very strong. Probably not the best for my pups, but at least it didn’t break the bank.
I have 5 pitties who absolutely love salmon and I recommend it to any owner who has pups with sensitive skin and allergies. I decided to switch them over to Dr. Pol’s Grain Free Salmon Recipe being that Blue Wilderness Grain Free Salmon has a “new” formula. They became pricier, and added “whole” grains and lots of preservatives to the new formula. Which is not something I would feed my fur babies. I introduced Dr. Pol’s to them this morning and they loved it! Hopefully, they continue to love it as much as they loved the Blue Wilderness grain free salmon recipe.
I started adding it to my dogs meals as a topper, two vomited after eating. The food smells awful. Tried mixing with other kibble and it's better, but I believe it is too rich.
Before I purchased I read many of the reviews The were several that said the food smelt. I didn't find that to be the case and our labradoodle ate it right away. After two weeks we noticed he hesitated and procrastinated in eating. After a month our dog SMELLS. Nothing else has changed so we can only assume this is coming from the food. We have to disguse it in something now so we have dicontinued it.
My 100 lb German Shepherd has very bad allergies. After finding and reviewing I thought Dr Pol Grain free Salmon dogfood would help the scratching and grass eating but...IT MADE IT WORSE. Now I have a bunch of dogfood that no one will eat
I decided to try Dr. Pol's dog food since I have watched him on TV for several years and have really enjoyed it. It certainly seems that he cars for animal - large and small - so I decided to try his food. Both of my finicky about their food and they both seem to love it!
My dog refuses to eat this. He likes other salmon flavored food, thought this would be a healthy brand for him. Not so if he won't eat it.
