Trail Mix for birds! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the big of Dr. Pol's Songbird Blend Wild Food. It was full of peanuts, oats, chips of what looked like dried fruit, as well as various other tidbits. As is typical, it took a little while for the birds to notice food in the feeders, but once they found this mix the feeders became quite active. Capturing pictures was difficult as the Chickadee's and Tufted-tit Mice prefer eating in solitude. Those are the types of birds mostly attracted to this feed at my house. I am sure in a day, or two the Cardinal's will begin showing up as our weather hasn't been cold enough to send the birds looking for human supplied food. I would certainly recommend this wild bird product. The 20-pound bag was easy to handle and didn't feel as heavy as the regular mixed bird seed. I was able to lift it and pour it into the airtight storage container I use with no problem at all. I am excited to see my regular bird visitors showing up to enjoy this new food source. I do love watching the birds at the feeder outside my kitchen window. Great product.

We used this Songbird Blend in a new bird feeder in our backyard. We love cardinals and now that the cardinals have found the feeder they flock to it. It is so fun to have them visit every day and to know we are offering a healthy mix of food for them to enjoy including sunflowers, peanuts and raisins you can see. The squirrels love to eat the seed that spills on the ground and it is entertaining to watch them try to get to the feeder. The seed was the perfect size for our feeder and it was easy to fill. The bag is 20 pounds which is a manageable size to use because it isn't too heavy to lift and it easy to store.

My kids bought me one of those smart bird feeders with a camera that notifies you when a bird visits the feeder and it allows you to watch the bird live from your cell phone. I had another brand bird seed but no birds visited my feeder and I was so disappointed. I decided to try Dr. Pol Wild Bird Healthy Songbird Seed and within one day my feeder was bursting with visitors; so many that I had to shut off the notifications on my iPhone. It took only a few days before they emptied the entire feeder of seed!!! This is the only bird seed that I will buy now and I fully recommend it to anyone who enjoys feeding wild birds.

The birds are flocking to my hanging feeder to fuel up and this birdseed seems to be doing the trick. They really like the black-oil sunflower seeds that are generously included in the mix (it’s the number one ingredient) as well as the peeled sunflower-seed chips. The shelled peanuts are a hit with my jays and squirrels. Millet is the least abundant ingredient in this mix which I appreciate, as so few of my bird-visitors like it. I much prefer this birdseed mix over any of the others I’ve purchased.

This looks like a very nice bird food, as there are many types of seeds and nuts in the mix. Unfortunately we have had very little traffic to the feeders so far

This looks like a very nice bird food, as there are many types of seeds and nuts in the mix. Unfortunately we have had very little traffic to the feeders so far this fall….in fact, almost none. Not sure where all the birds are! The squirrels and possums, however, are creating havoc over it. They adore it! Hoping we see some more activity soon so I can truly determine if the birds like it.

This is a great mix of high quantity seed. I have 2 feeder, so I put Dr. Pol Healthy Songbird mix in one and just black oil sunflower seeds in the other. The Healthy Songbird mix disappeared quick. The birds loved it! The only caution i have is that some of the seeds are large so be sure your feeder can accommodate that.
