About Dr. Tim's
As a veterinarian and accomplished musher, Dr. Tim Hunt understood his dogs' need for a food that promotes stamina, endurance and performance through proper digestion. Armed with a cement mixer, a cache of ideas, and an aversion for other diets on the market, Dr. Tim took to his Michigan garage on a mission to formulate a food that replicated a natural, wild diet for his Alaskan Huskies. Today, Dr. Tim's focus has since expanded to bring an honest, nutritionally sound food—sourced only from North America's highest quality ingredients—to every dog.

Diabetic cat
By Ellie14 on Mar 17, 2021
I purchased Dr Tim’s as a high protein food for my diabetic cat. I am slowly incorporating it into his expensive prescription cat food. Both my cats liked it right away, and I have experienced no adverse effects. No stomach upset or spikes in blood sugar. We all like it.

My senior cats like it
By MaxtheCat on Nov 10, 2020
My senior and geriatric cats get wet food twice a day and dry food to graze on. After reading about the high-protein recipe and high-quality ingredients, I switched them gradually from another dry food to Dr. Tim's. They like Dr. Tim's, and I'm pleased because there is much less gobbling and vomiting. We recently got a new cat who is 23. He prefers dry food to wet food, so Dr. Tim's is his main source of nutrition. He's a healthy, energetic cat, and seems to do very well on Dr. Tim's. It's nice to have a food that works for all of the cats.

Helped my cat's tummy
By WhitRN on Nov 15, 2020
My 7yo cat started having diarrhea, the vet gave him a round of antibiotics and anti diarrhea meds. It returned once those were finished. Tried the ID food but I have 5 cats so he kept getting into other food. I tried this on a whim after searching for hypoallergenic food... he is so much better. We're only finishing the first bag but I remain hopeful that he'll stay feeling better on this food. (I do also feed wet because I have a diabetic cat in remission).

Cats didn't like at all but I did
By Sammysk92 on Nov 9, 2020
I love the ingredients in this cat food and have been trying to get my cats to eat better grain (or grain-free) - but after more than a week of trying, they still will not touch it. I tried everything...I don't know if it's the smell or taste, but they actually were spitting out pieces when I mixed in with their old grain to transition them over.

I really like this items ingredients. but 5lbs for 3 cats does not work. would need to be constantly ordering it. You really need to make a bag over 10lbs for multiple cat households..

My Felines Are Finicky!
By Fran on Mar 20, 2020
I’m not giving up. I had read many positive reviews and had hoped they would bury their faces in (canine like) it. But they didn’t. It could be they already have two bowls of different dry and 3 cans of wet - again, various kinds. Too spoiled. But it’s going to be presented again and again!

cats won’t eat it
By HwyLady on Jun 6, 2020
Neither of my senior cats will eat it at all. They prefer American Journey. I thought this was an upgrade for them.
